Yet he orchestrated a phone call with Kanye and Taylor, recorded it and posted it. great guy... sure he and weinstein. |

Fact#1: Scott Borchetta has never not looked like a sleeze ball and child molester.
Fact#2: If Adele or Beyoncé or almost any male complained in the same way, people would be defending the artist. |
She was represented by Donald Passman in her last negotiations. It doesn't get any better than that. She did exactly what she said in her message to Borchetta -- walked away from her old to bet on the new. Which was all fine and good until Scooter became involved. That isn't how any business works. You don't get to walk away happily and then get mad when a person you don't like gets your stuff. She walked and signed with UMG. End of story. |
Why not? Because you say so? |
Ohhhhhhhh he's the guy behind the receipts? That makes sense then. |
| I like most of her music, it's catchy. Don't care enough about the current drama to read about it, but what bothers me (and has bothered be for a long time) about T Swift is that she is ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS the victim. She's had public feuds with (among others) the Kardashian/Wests, Katy Perry, now Scooter Braun and it's always "poor little me, I've been wronged, people are so horrible!" Not to mention the endless stream of men and tumultuous breakups, all of which she's presented as her being the victim (although I think she's been with the same person for a while now). You can't be involved in that much drama and be a completely innocent victim IMO. |
Maybe there's a reason why. Taylor has cried wolf one too many times. |
You are lying and you know you are lying. Pretty pathetic, PP. First, the call was between Taylor and Kanye - it was Taylor and Kim and Scooter had nothing to do with it. |
I couldn’t agree more. Taylor is a nearly 30 year d woman and a multimillionaire. The victim crap is insulting. |
Because that is not the way adults handle BUSINESS. Grow up, PP. |
Please. Artists who do not own the rights to their music isn't BUSINESS. It's nonsense. Pretend she's an artist that you don't dislike. Now do you think she sounds unreasonable? |
Yes. Scooter didn’t rep Kanye at the time of the phone call. Why would he have been involved with recording a call of someone he wasn’t affiliated with? |
| Once she walked away, wasn't that music available for anybody? |
|
I finding myself wanting to like her but getting the vibe that she is *that* friend who always has personal drama and makes bad choices, then continues to amp it up by doubling down on the bad choices and continued histrionics.
But then if she weren't that way, her music wouldn't be as good/would be more mature but not in a good way, but in a 'born again' way. |
Artists have every right to their own music... until they voluntarily sign their right of ownership away. Like a painter who sells his painting - it isn’t his anymore and he cannot just demand it back. Taylor Swift knew exactly what she was doing as did her parents. She left the label on her own accord. She only started whining like a spoiled child when Scooter Braun bought the entire company. And Scooter was “mean to her”. Seriously, you Taylor-lovers have to grow up. |
