OP is right, Taylor is a petulant child. I believe she knew about the sale. This is a tactic of hers as others have said. Old trick for her to promote her albums. At 300M she was never in the running to buy her catalogue if her net worth really is 320M.

And if she wants to be pissed at not having the rights to her work - then she needs to look to those that acted on her behalf when her contract was signed at 15.

Whether she knew at 9pm or in the morning seems immaterial. What difference would those hours make?

This was unexpected, wasn't what she wanted. Why shouldn't she complain?

It’s fine to complain. But c’mon this isn’t bullying. It’s a business deal that did not work to her benefit. She’s a conventionally attractive, A list woman worth over $300 million (btw what is Scooters net worth). She’s not a nerd from the drama club.

You always hear about young artist that don't own their own music.He/she doesn't own some of his early songs because of a bad contract so he never plays those songs because he has to pay someone else every time he plays them.

What's her specific beef with Braun? He's Bieber's guy right?

He's not like Dr. Luke, I hadn't heard any awful stories about him.

She is always the victim. Can't wait to see Kim Kardashiajn snap back.

Eventually she'll learn that women are only allowed to be angry a few times in their lives, and that on those occasions, they should just say, "It's very disappointing," press their lips together, and go away.

+100

She can be as angry as we wants to be.

Anyhow, no one seems to care that much if powerful men get angry and rape people. Or posts angry tweets constantly. One angry tweet is nothing in the grand scheme of things, unless.women just aren't allowed to be angry.

She does need to go away. She’s a mean, catty girl still acting like a teenager.

I’m another one who agrees that her schtick is getting old. The manufactured drama right before an album release. The “poor little manipulated girl” cover story. I think she is a very talented songwriter but this comes off as disingenuous and achy.

I like what she did. She's calling out the industry.

If this was on the Jobs & Career board, everyone would applaud her for speaking out.

Example, if someone posted: I'm thinking of taking a job with Beta Corp. Has anyone heard anything about them?

And a poster replied: I used to work for them. I did 90% of the work on every project for my team and my boss took the credit. He told me he'd recommend me for a promotion to be his equal if I did the same for the next 6 projects. That would have meant years more work with him without credit and dealing with his other bad habits like bullying. Instead, I decided to apply for another job at Acme Agency and now have more freedom to do what I want. Beta Corp was terrible. Avoid!

You wouldn't say that the person replying was being immature.

I'm not a fan of her music and honestly, I can find her annoying, but I don't see/have an issue with her calling out BGM and Scooter.

People are only being sh!tty toward her because she's a) Taylor Swift, someone people love to hate and b) a woman.

If a male artist had posted the same thing, people would applaud him for handing his business and on his smart business skills.

Scooter Braun is a great guy and an amazingly generous philanthropist. He discovered Bieber and reps Kanye.

Yeah, add me to the growing list of former fans tired of her faux victim whining.

She has a right to make her voice heard. A lot of artists are screwed by lop-sided business deals. Good for her for speaking out! Bullies are scared of people who fight back.

People hate strong women and water is wet.

No news here.

Yeah, “calling out the industry” on Tumblr that made her a multimillionaire at 30? Poor Taylor. All because she doesn’t like the guy who bought her former label. Stupid and childish. And yes, I would say exactly the same thing if she were a man.

Not a fan but I agree with her. The music industry(like other entertainment industries) has so many shady dealings and people. I've heard alot of negative things about douche Scooter and I believe it.
