He may be average looking, but I bet he is kind, doesn't play games, knows a good thing when he sees it, and has the confidence to go after what he wants.
This. My DH is asked how he "got me" as well.
In his case, he is a nice man who is willing to deal with my crazy dysfunctional family; we started out as friends and then slowly started dating over the next couple years. Most wonderful guy I have ever met, and I seemed to only attract jerks and old guys who cheated on me, before I met him.
