Lady Gabriella's Bridemaids dresses should be burned

Maybe they wanted their dresses to be as hideous as possible so they don’t distract from the bride’s dress.

Ugh, people like you are the worst.
We should all be closed minded simpletons like you, who can't ever discuss anything outside of DC?

As if there haven't been 98 page threads about everything royal already?

That’s the freaking point! Find an appropriate venue for the gazillion royals threads. This ain’t it. No one here knows who the heck “Lady Gabriella” is and no one cares.

Funny I feel the same way about the Housewives and the Teen Mom simpletons.

Right, which is why those shows are kept to a single thread each. Because no one wants the Entertainment forum overrun with separate threads about every minor character on those shows. Like Lady 50-something to the throne that none of us have ever heard of. There should be a single royals thread for the obsessed to post on.

+1. It wouldn’t be so bad if we weren’t all legally required to click on these threads and leave comments. Oh, wait a second...

I know there are plenty of threads in this forum that I skip right on over because I can't stand the topic - the inane "Kane Show discussion," and anything about the Kardashians or rappers. Not interested, don't click. It's not difficult.

That’s the point though. The Kane Show talk is confined to one thread, as are the Teen Moms and “Kimye” and so on. So they are easily avoided. If Jeff wasn’t deleting things, we’d have separate threads on “Kate left the house today” and “Someone ranted on Twitter about Meghan”. This isn’t a forum on the royals. One thread is enough.

The dresses are gorgeous and remind me of the stunning Edwardian, Victorian, 18th century ball gowns.

But I do sort of agree they're better on a mannequin than on a woman in today's world.

That's actually not true. There are usually multiple threads about the Kartrashians, the Kane show, etc. Look, if you don't like threads about this or that, then simply don't click on them. It can't be that difficult.

Those dresses are hideous.

I am not a frilly-loving person. I like simple colors and lines, but I think the dressers are fun!

Sad because I think she is lovely and usually very chic. This dress - no.

Rich British women definitely have a thing about dressing like little girls.

The British concept of dressing formally and appropriately for weddings and events is quite different than Americans. They are much more formal and they will cover up more for weddings. You think it's dressing like little girls because they're not showing cleavage or strutting around like a whore. They don't go to weddings dressed as if it was a cocktail party. They wear longer dresses. And it also helps that it's much cooler so those long dresses have a purpose too

If going to a fancy drinks party or a ball, they wouldn't wear these dresses, because it wouldn't be suitable for those events.

DP - It's not just the length of the dresses people are commenting on though.

It's that she's wearing a schoolgirl headband in her hair which is styled very childishly - stick straight, no crimps or curls or highlights, her dress is baby blue with cutesy cut-outs, and she's wearing really weird puffy sleeves. That plus the high collar - all of it says little girl.

Not to mention the weird lack of or very minimal makeup. Pippa is 35.

Here's what an American woman her age would wear to a wedding - tailored high class silhouettes.

Pippa's basically copying Princess Eugenie's style from 2018. Goes to every royal event she can get an invitation to. Surprisingly enough Eugenie has a better waistline! Or Pips clothes are just ill-fitting, can't tell.

I think the dresses are beautiful.
