Lady Gabriella's Bridemaids dresses should be burned

If those are the designers of the bridal gown, then all is forgiven - the bridal gown was gorgeous.

Too annoying that the Brits and Russians and flyover country folks have taken over.

Yup - I wonder how they found this place

"Ok, Amy I know you don't want to be the flowerpot head festive sling peasant, but I have Jen in floral school marm hairnet, so peasant is all that's left in your size. Just be glad you're not fat like Lisa, she's doing the guestbook!"

Can we please get back to this?

Style. And compared to your average DC individual (esp. suburban DC individual) less risk adverse. The colors, fabrics, and unique cuts are great *I think*. But you would not see them at Tysons.

It looks like a grandmother’s sofa threw up. Nothing will make those dresses stylish. It’s equivalent to the outfit Kim Kardashian wore years ago to the Met Gala when she was pregnant with North. Sorry but you are not stylish if you think those dresses mean you are risky and like unique cuts. They are matronly and do nothing to flatter a figure.

Um, no. Perhaps if this was 1985. Here in 2019, those getups are not considered "stylish".

Romantic florals are in for spring here in the UK. I was out shopping today and saw a lot of dresses that remind me of 80s Laura Ashley type frocks.

I bought this one this afternoon (I'm sure you will hate it

That doesn't look anything like Laura Ashley. It's fine, but the sleeves are too long and too structured for it to look romantic.

Ugh, people like you are the worst.
We should all be closed minded simpletons like you, who can't ever discuss anything outside of DC?

As if there haven't been 98 page threads about everything royal already?

That’s the freaking point! Find an appropriate venue for the gazillion royals threads. This ain’t it. No one here knows who the heck “Lady Gabriella” is and no one cares.

Funny I feel the same way about the Housewives and the Teen Mom simpletons.

Right, which is why those shows are kept to a single thread each. Because no one wants the Entertainment forum overrun with separate threads about every minor character on those shows. Like Lady 50-something to the throne that none of us have ever heard of. There should be a single royals thread for the obsessed to post on.

+1. It wouldn’t be so bad if we weren’t all legally required to click on these threads and leave comments. Oh, wait a second...

Gorgeous wedding dress!

The bride is very pretty, but also rather old. Surprising.

Getting married nearly one year to the day of Harry + Meghan at the same venue with the same cake designer is a bit odd.

The little girls in the wedding had nicer dresses than Meghan's wedding girls.

FYI: British media are calling the on trend romantic floral dresses SFD: silly floral dresses.

Yes, it does. I said it 'reminds me of' Laura Ashley, and yes, it does reference that trend. I wouldn't want it to be exactly like the Laura Ashley dresses I remember my mum wearing, but it is Laura Ashley-esque with updates.

Do you wear leggings a lot?

Nope. Haven't worn leggings since the 80s when I stopped shopping at the limited and express.

Romantic florals are on trend...in the UK. And the US trots out florals every spring for Easter. The dress you picked is fine, but the sleeves are too structured to be romantic. The romantic florals (SFDs) tend to have flowy sleeves. And there's nothing about it that reminds me of Laura Ashley (I am one of 4 sisters who came of age when everyone shopped at Laura Ashley, Belle France, Bloomies and I Magnin at White Flint back in the day, so I can still smell what Laura Ashley smelled like as soon as you walked in).

The best SFD at that wedding was purchased at H&M (just scrolled through the pics of guests on a Daily Mail).

Hold up...you are judging someone who wears leggings while liking this shapeless, matronly frock?! I would say they are both equal.

I know there are plenty of threads in this forum that I skip right on over because I can't stand the topic - the inane "Kane Show discussion," and anything about the Kardashians or rappers. Not interested, don't click. It's not difficult.
