I never make eye contact with the owners or react to their dogs and can tell they’re hurt/offended that I’m completely ignoring their dog.

DP I am one dog owner that does not get hurt or offended that you don't give my dog any attention. Unless I am related to them I generally ignore babies/kids. I hope you are hurt of offended

DP This is a fantasy land you are living in. Most dogs do not like to poop on their own lawn and as long as dog owners pick it up than you don't own the sidewalk. You will have to deal.

You can train a dog to poop anywhere. Dogs should be confined to defecating on their owners property - no where else.
