I am not a “dog person”

Agree. Not liking dogs is a character flaw.

You people are probably the worst pet owners. I like dogs and cats a lot but in the us we are moving into some weird crap with our pets. In the last few years I've encountered so many rude people who insist on bringing their dogs to my house or get togethers that I'd never encountered before. Don't bring your pet to my house or event. Don't even ask.

I mind a lot when my coworkers bring their dogs to work. It’s inappropriate and not cute. We are working. I’m sick of people bringing dogs out in public everywhere when they are obviously not service animals. You don’t need to carry your dog through the grocery store.

This. It is pathetic. I judge the heck out of idiots who parade around stores with their dogs.

I like calm, laid back dogs who, don’t bark or growl or jump on me or my kids and are well trained. But I don’t ever want to have my own dog. The idea has zero appeal to me. Having kids is enough work. I don’t really like going to friends or relatives houses if they have pets unless the pets are as stated above. One of my friends has a dog who will just lie at my feet and let me pet him. And I love that dog. But my brothers dog is big and nervous/skittish, barks a lot, jumps on me. I really don’t like him.

I have no clue where your friend has been.

I pretty much like most dogs than most people.

You have personality issues, PP. So judgmental and angry!

Own a dog if and only if you own your own property where your dog can urinate and crap.

This. No dogs unless you own land to walk them. Seeing dogs taking a dump on the sidewalk is vile.

OP check out the dog free sub on reddit. You'll find lots of like minded people there, including some people who like and own dogs but are sick and tired of the prevailing insanity where dogs are taken into stores where they don't belong and everyone is expected to let people's dogs jump on them at any time etc etc.

Lol! You are practically a parody of a pathetic dog owner. How do you look yourself in the mirror with a straight face?

I try to pretend to be pleased by friends dogs but I actually hate them.

OMG, I’m dying. This, exactly. And then the owner scooping up the poop. Or not - either way is disgusting.
