i have this

and I get a lot of compliments, not sure why. I love it and I will buy it again. I don’t like LV bags that are not leather.

So are you careful to always make sure the logo embossed side is facing out so everyone can see it?

Visible logos are unattractive.

Everything is a brand. What’s wrong if someone wants to carry a bag with a logo?

Not everthing is/has branding. You can cover yourself in whatever logo you like. I don't have to like it.

Ok but why don’t you like it? I see this constantly where people put their noses in the air and say “oh I would never...” name me one brandless thing where do you buy your handbags? Clothes? Shoes? Doesn’t matter if it has a logo or not, most things are easily recognizable

I am a new poster. I have very little to no visible branding on my attire. The only exception is athletic shoes and a few other gym items and 1 pair of jeans with a pocket design.

It is very very easy to avoid branded items (with the exception of athletic shoes). I wear items from target to Neiman Marcus with zero branding or logos with no added effort to conceal branding.

It’s part of who I am. I was raised being told the visible logos are garish and ostentatious and have never changed my opinion. I also see heavily branded items promoted by celebrities and other people who I don’t care to emulate.

Hopefully this helps you understand why some of us do not care for logos.

In regards to your purchase, if it makes you happy and you can easily afford it, then proceed.

This is exactly why it bother me so much that people are “holier than thou” just bc others wear logos. Some wear it obviously bc they are pretentious or trying to show off. But don’t act like you’re better than me honey just bc your leggings and shirts our “branded” thank you next

Well since you are an internet stranger how the hell are we supposed to know if you should get one?

I worked in advertising for 15 years and don’t really feel like wearing an ad on my body.

I have a bag from this handbag maker that I love! All of her designs can be totally customized. It's also nice too that you can completely design the interior of the bag (how many and what kind of pockets, sections, etc.) I have a customized work tote.

I like my chloe cross-body but I don't carry it everyday.

Meant to include in this post, you can ask them to put their logo on the inside of the bag and nothing on the outside

I have the Speedy 30, not the crossbody version, so can't comment on that. I generally love the bag...I've had it 12 years and the beauty of the canvas is it wears like iron. Wears much, much better than any leather/fabric bag I've owned.

Two things about the bag I don't love--first, it is a bit of a black hole since there is no structure to the bottom of the bag. Good luck digging your keys out in the dark! Or finding anything quickly really. Second, the vachetta leather piping is delicate...mine has completely worn on all corners. The plastic piping inside the leather has worn through and needs to be replaced. I just took mine back to the store to be sent out for repair...its not awful, but is costing $240 and 7-8 weeks for LV to replace the piping.

Otherwise, I've really loved the bag. Its one of their original designs (I believe it was created as a day bag for Audrey Hepburn) and will never go out of style.

yeah. arhat side is supposed to be facing outside

here is the thing.. though this is technically the logo everyone who knows the llg and cares for it knows he bag anyway. without the logo - ie a nicely executed geometric shape in the front - the bag would simply be too plain.

Truthfully, the bag is kind of plain anyway. I can buy virtually the same bag without the logo from a dozen places.

i disagree. the decoration (logo) is the big part of it. and as I said, I am surprised how many compliments I get on it.

I think you just proved the above posters point about the type of people who choose to carry these handbags and their horrific logos.

+1. I’m imagining someone soooo incredibly basic. So superficial with nothing else going for them except that they look pretty good if they spend all their free time and money on their hair, makeup, and clothes. Does anyone with a branded LV bag have above average intellect or any class?
