Should I get a Louis Vuitton speedy B 25?

I don't pay companies to be a walking billboard, so my vote is no.

You can get a great-quality bag for a tenth of that price. It's just absurd to spend money on something like that.

Can you recommend a specific bag?

This will be on my list when I downsize bags after I get children out of diapers.

PP: also to add you can get brand new (or nearly) unused vintage coach bags with tags still attached from when they were amazing qualiity, from American leather, and made in New York off eBay if you are patient.

Kooba is well-constructed with butter-soft leather; I especially like their woven leather bags. You can usually find them marked down at Saks Off Fifth. Same with Elliott Lucca. You can get a decent Michael Kors bag or a Kate Spade bag, if what you are actually looking for is a sturdy leather bag with some cute details.

Now, that won't scream LUXURY BRAND, so if that's what you're really after, go with LV. Or, you can just get an expensive item and carry it around in a plastic grocery bag with the receipt taped on the outside, price highlighted in pink.

I think it's hideously tacky, but you do you.

I bought a small speedy several years ago. Because of its cylindrical shape and relatively small zipper opening, it was hard to get items in and out of it. I wouldn't recommend it for this reason. If you like LV, try a different model.

Lol, Coach, gross.

New coach, agree. But vintage coach is beautiful

Vintage leather Coach bags are the best! I'm carrying a leather hobo bag from Pour la Victoire that reminds me of Coach bags from the 80s and 90s.

Should’ve never posted this question in the first place. SMH. if it’s so tacky and unattractive then what kind of bags do you people carry? Care to share? If not, then why even bother commenting

i have this

and I get a lot of compliments, not sure why. I love it and I will buy it again. I don’t like LV bags that are not leather.

So are you careful to always make sure the logo embossed side is facing out so everyone can see it?

Visible logos are unattractive.

Everything is a brand. What’s wrong if someone wants to carry a bag with a logo?

Not everthing is/has branding. You can cover yourself in whatever logo you like. I don't have to like it.

Ok but why don’t you like it? I see this constantly where people put their noses in the air and say “oh I would never...” name me one brandless thing where do you buy your handbags? Clothes? Shoes? Doesn’t matter if it has a logo or not, most things are easily recognizable

I am a new poster. I have very little to no visible branding on my attire. The only exception is athletic shoes and a few other gym items and 1 pair of jeans with a pocket design.

It is very very easy to avoid branded items (with the exception of athletic shoes). I wear items from target to Neiman Marcus with zero branding or logos with no added effort to conceal branding.

It’s part of who I am. I was raised being told the visible logos are garish and ostentatious and have never changed my opinion. I also see heavily branded items promoted by celebrities and other people who I don’t care to emulate.

Hopefully this helps you understand why some of us do not care for logos.

In regards to your purchase, if it makes you happy and you can easily afford it, then proceed.

This is exactly why it bother me so much that people are “holier than thou” just bc others wear logos. Some wear it obviously bc they are pretentious or trying to show off. But don’t act like you’re better than me honey just bc your leggings and shirts our “branded” thank you next

Aren’t ***

I think you just proved the above posters point about the type of people who choose to carry these handbags and their horrific logos.
