As a woman, at least in the beginning, you don't need to do anything, except to agree to go on a date. If you already did that and this man is not eager to take you out and set up the time and place, he, for whatever reason has other priorities.
It's pathetic to insist on confirmation, do you really have nothing else to do and other people to see?

And most importantly: did OP get her confirmation by texting this man? She did not.
