Wife is obsessed with working out

Sounds excessive to me. But that's just me.

Also, who wouldn’t love a fit/sexy/healthy spouse?

She eats well. She can eat a huge cheeseburger right after working out. Most of the time she has either a big lunch or dinner but not both.

Waving a two pound pink stick around doesn’t constitute “lifting weights.”

You have obviously never been to a Barre class. You can use whatever weights you want.

Do either you or her have expectations she will stay "thin" despite having children and getting older?

She is thin and has always been. It wasn't hard for her to lose weight after having a baby.

Can we...can we really not connect these dots, OP?

OMFG honestly.

"My thin wife is always thin even after having a baby so idk why she exercises so much."

Sounds like she may have had an eating disorder before starting with the obsessive workouts. The latter is a lot healthier.

In that case, enjoy your hot wife and consider doing the same thing.

Be thankful. If it were the opposite and she got fat, you would have a problem with that.

Seriously. OP, this all sounds just fine. I don't think you have any reason to be suspicious, and as a (different poster) former competitive athlete, this doesn't even sound like a lot of exercise to me. And as for the cardio vs. weights poster, maybe she *just likes cardio*. NBD.

This +100

When I was racing bicycles I was doing 8-12 hours per week of structured workouts on my bike. Most of the people I raced with did 8-15. Ironman level triathletes peak at 18-25 per week. THATS OBSESSIVE! if she’s doing 6 or less hours per week I wouldn’t worry about it unless she’s not eating enough.

We really need a pic. Is she hot? I’m betting that she has a lover and wants to look good for him or her.

Newsflash: not all thin people work out. I know tons of moms who are thin and don't work out regularly. The control what they eat.

Yes. It's not common to work out in Europe and most women are thin!

Uhhhh, what? First, Eurpope is a continent. Which country to you speak of? I'm Swedish and I'd say we are fanatical about working out, i also lived in Germany for a few years, and eveyrone was working out. Gyms are VERY popular in Northern Europe. Especially Crossfit. Swedes LOVE weightlifting! You really need to visit more places than wherever it has that you have been. Maybe you only have visited Greece?

Eh, I think doubles every day is a lot, and this is from someone who did them regularly for years as an athlete. I still do them occasionally, and love them, but daily? That's getting to the excessive side of exercise. Then again, there are far worse ways of dealing with joint pain, and also much more taxing forms of exercise than what she's doing.

I cycle 12 miles to work and then back each day. But one the years my kids are in the same school and the AM family schedule doesn’t blow.

She sounds OK, maybe she can switch to an AM class only and nix the Pm one?

How does she look? Hot? Why can’t the OP just enjoy having an attractive wife?

Op here. A lot of times I drop her off at the classes. Cheating for 1 hour during a class? I doubt it.

Huh? Why do you drop her off? Why doesn’t she drive herself? Why don’t you workout with her?

Because we have 1 car and I bring our child to the playground while she goes to a class.

It sounds to me like this is the only way she really gets to leave the house.
Do you take the car to work every day? Do you live near public transportation?
