| It doesn't sound too excessive to me. Sounds like she's bored and trying to create a life outside sahm. |
| She needs to lift weights instead of relying on cardio. |
PP here and yes, I agree this sounds more likely. |

It's on the high side, but does help with joint pain.
Do either you or her have expectations she will stay "thin" despite having children and getting older? |
| She's sleeping with one of the trainers. |
| She has a boyfriend |
+1 |
She is thin and has always been. It wasn't hard for her to lose weight after having a baby. |
Op here. A lot of times I drop her off at the classes. Cheating for 1 hour during a class? I doubt it. |
|
Has she always exercised hard or something recently developed? How old is she? Exercise has many health benefits and makes you feel good. Maybe she’s trying to look good for you as well. If she’s not eating and rapidly losing weight to unhealthy level then I would worry.
Pessimistic view could be she’s in a midlife crisis and paying obsessive attention to her appearance or trying to look good for someone else. Sorry I’m not helping as I don’t know your situation. I myself wish I could be obsessed with working out. Everyday my husband has to drag me to go exercise with him. It is an hour of hell. |
Huh? Why do you drop her off? Why doesn’t she drive herself? Why don’t you workout with her? |
| I sometimes do two classes a day. It’s the best thing I’ve found to manage my mental health and autoimmune fatigue. I don’t have kids though so it doesn’t impact others as much. But this level of exercise is not unheard of... |
| OP, your wife is not an efficient exerciser. |
Better watch out for those Soul Cyclist instructors, they will have your wife in the sack before you can say 10 speed! |
| I think this level of exercise would be normal if she didn't have a husband or children. But considering she has time to workout during the day, I find it problematic that she's going to a class at night during the few hours the family has together. Sure a class here and there if she missed her daytime workout is fine, but it seems unhealthy to me if her exercise obsession is getting in the way of life. |
