will eagle scout help get into Penn State?

There certainly is a lot of uninformed opinions on this board for an organization and an accomplishment that many seem to know very little about other than their own preconceived notions.

...in a discriminatory organization that banned gay people. Impressive.

My son is an Eagle Scout. And openly gay.

If I found that out about someone who was a recent grad who was applying for a job with me, I would consider that as a "pro" to hiring them.

We're talking about college admissions, not applying for jobs. Maybe a different thread?

Yes, & PP being an HYSP alum was irrelevant to his or her post (which concerned his/her role in hiring not his or her education) but we all know how DCUMers like to throw out information like that at every opportunity

I'm never sure whether to be impressed by those people, because they went to *four* selective universities, or sorry for them because they had to bounce around so much to finish college.

Way, what's that you say? They only went to *one* of these schools, but want you to know how smart they are, but don't want to tell you which school it was? Just narrow it down to 1 of 4? Because if you say you went to Princeton, someone would be able to identify you?

Huh. Let's have some truth in advertising, and for anyone who is inclined to lead off a post with, "HYPS alum here" just write instead "Total douchenozzle here."

That policy no longer exists.

You mean 2015. But hey, whatever makes you feel better about your association.

Just like the US military and countless organizations. Didn’t those of your sort fight for these changes?
Now that they have happened, why do you grouse about them?

Those of what sort? People who don’t like discrimination? Are you a different sort?

Those who can read and comprehend English: “those of your sort [who] fight for these changes.” Clear enough?

Proof that it didn’t want to change but finally was shamed into it. Creepy Jesus-squad bigots. So gross.

I would say you're the bigot here. You have no idea what you are talking about but feel free to share your uneducated opinion. Childish

Another nothing response. Until 2015 they thought it was cool to ban gay people. Now respond with a contrary fact. Would you choose a college that banned gay people? No? Why, because it’s despicable?

Ah the silence. Love it.
