Do you know their DOB and party affiliation too? You do have to answer those questions.

They can challenge you and make you vote provisional. You still get your vote recorded but it goes through an extra verification process.
if they challenge you why did they refuse to look at my MD license?

Because you weren’t challenged. If you were challenged, they’d ask for ID. If you could provide it, they’d let you vote regularly. If not, you would get a provisional. Some voter authority cards say “show ID” and for those people, they are required to show ID.
so why did she act like my ID was kryptonite?

I don’t get why you care so much? They are told to tell people ID isn’t necessary. Rifling through your stuff may take too long and hold up a line.

Or maybe she was just a little awkward in the way she did it. It’s hard to get sufficient numbers of election judges with early voting. So many are first tiimers.
my id was in my hand and I was trying to hand it to her and she acted like it was kryptonite.

JFC. How are we supposed to know this one woman's backstory? How about this: she's a vampire, and your ID smelled like garlic.

Probably because you were acting like a dick about it.

All I did was try to hand it to her

Doubtful since you clearly had an agenda.

Stop trying to make voter fraud a thing. It's not.
you can vote early in any center that allows early voting then show up to you your own precinct on Election Day . Could vote as my neighbors spouse early at another early voting center. Voter fraud is real

Great, so you've manage to get 1-2 extra votes in for a lot of effort. Wouldn't it be easier just to campaign to a legit voter and get them to vote your way, or even just pay them off?
in off elections there are very small turnouts do every vote matters. Imagine if you had a Union gunning for a particular candidate.

The numbers are in for the first few days of early voting, and this is not an eletion with low turnout by any measure.

Also, the races that typically come down to a few votes are the smaller races (due to fewer votes), like for city council member compared to governor. But those are also the races with the least $$ floating around and thus least incenitive for voter fraud.

There are 1,500+ Amish living in Maryland. By comparison, Garett Park (where Floreen used to be mayor) has a population of about 1,000.

That's just one group who may not have IDs. Others are those who are homeless, elderly, or otherwise don't have the money or ability to easily request or renew their ID. Why require it and disenfranchise voters? There have been no reports of widespread voter fraud whatsoever.

My comment has to do with the availability of identification card. I think this is something the state can do something about and give those out for free. The state gives out so much money for so many other things the least they can do is be able to provide identification cards for those who can’t afford it? Even with the person’s basic name photo birthday ( for those who are homeless ). Does anybody know why this can’t be an option ?

ID cards in MD are $1 for people who are homeless. It's more the documentation requirements that are a hindrance. Those are required by the federal Real ID act -- MD can't do anything about those really.

Another very significant problem is how to get one. You need to go to an MVA. I know a number of homeless as I worked for over 20 years at our local community soup kitchen. Many of them walked anywhere. But it was 5 miles to get to the nearest MVA and many of them didn't have $1 most of the time. If they did, they often spent it on food or necessities.
