If you drive a pickup truck in the suburbs, why?

So anyone not driving a prius or a civic is having a mid life crisis and trying to feel cool? You folks say the same thing about men who drive SUV's BMW's, Mercede's , Jeeps etc.

No not just a mid-life crises but anyone driving more car than they need is insecure about something.

HAHAHAHAHA

I drive a large SUV, and my children are grown. My husband also drives an SUV. We have many reasons for choosing them, none of which is because we are insecure.

What are those reasons?

None of your business.

So we have a strong HOA. No vans, no trucks. Park it in the common lot or your driveway and towed away it goes.

Now you can park on the county road. But in the common lot, bye bye truck.

You are just trying to discriminate against Blue Collar people that use trucks or vans for work, like carpenters or painters. You make me want to puke.

So true. PP can go pound her “strong HOA” in sand.

I bet she is so woke, too.

I have a truck to haul around my dressage horses. Most people in the DC area board their horses.

Here is the pickup owner being told that Sanctimommy Does Not Approve:

I don't believe for a moment that such an HOA exists. Try again.

I have a truck. I have dragged 3 people out of the mud or a ditch on the side of the highway in my truck. I also feel safer. These tiny sedans really claret built to survive crashes. Someone once rear ended me in my truck, I was fine....that person was seriously hurt. I honestly don't understand how people drive around with their kids in minivans....those cars can't take a tbone crash. The kid in the 3rd row would be seriously injured in a rear end collission.

Pick ups look good with MAGA stickers!

My HOA bans commercial vehicles and trucks.
It’s in the registered documents with the county depository.

If it’s tagged as a truck (registerqtion) it’s banned.

Same for cargo vans. Any name on it or ladder rack it’s banned.

This keeps the community values up.

There is plenty of county streets for overnight parking.

Low class is low class. No thanks. I like the UMC rules.

Montgomery Village has a similar covenant. Also applies to vehicles with company lettering.

As I just posted, the only place I've lived that had rules like this was Montgomery Village; UMC is not how I would describe it.

Many condo and townhouse communities have rule and regulations.

Mine forbids trucks, boats, trailers, cargo vans, junk cars,
Etc.

No doubt this will be lost on you but the reason people need to drive bigger cars to be safe on the road is because of the threat caused by other bigger cars. And there are all sorts of studies showing that machismo driven knuckleheads like you are far more likely to be aggressive drivers and cause accidents. So you in fact are the problem not the solution.

But yeah keep patting yourself on the back for pulling other idiot drivers out of ditches.

Pickup trucks are not commercial trucks.
