They darkened her hair, styled it so it would fall in her face and look disheveled, wore oversized glasses and ill fitting clothes. All of this was done specifically to make her look weak and get sympathy. I call BS.

So you are literally attacking a rape victim by how she dresses and does her hair for something that is going to be televised all over the world? I usually wear jeans with paint on them, tshirts so faded you can't even read them, and only wear makeup when I have a meeting or a party (so maybe once a month) - if I were in this position I would not show to the senate judiciary hearing looking like I usually do.

Way to attack the victim there. Pat yourself on the back.

She's not a rape victim.

She was sexually assaulted and thought she was going to be killed.

but again, she is not a rape victim, it is ok to say yes, you are correct.

Why do you dress like that?

I don't want to ruin things with paint.

Just as an aside--who paid Rachel Mitchell and how much was she paid for her performance?

The prosecutor's report is expected. Everyone understands that there isn't enough evidence for a trial.

The standards here are different for a job interview - you don't want to hire an irascible man who has a drink-filled past and who has been accused of assault. This much is true and has either been seen live on national TV, or been credibly reported by his own friends and his own yearbook. We don't need to know for sure that he assaulted anyone to conclude that there are better qualified (conservative) candidates out there.

Naturally, the White House does not want him for his qualifications or lack therefore: they just want to seat someone who has promised to dismantle the separate sovereigns doctrine, which holds a person potentially liable for state crimes even if the President pardons them for federal crimes. It is on the agenda of the Supreme Court and written opinions are needed by mid-October. This is why there is so much urgency about this candidate's confirmation. Canceling such a ruling could be useful for certain people in the near future.

I hope the FBI finds every lie that she told and exposes the truth.

You people need to quite calling her a victim. She is an "alleged" victim.

By her own admission, Ford is not a rape victim. For a rape to occur in a woman, at least her vagina must be penetrated by a penis or penis like item. Ford did not say that she was penetrated.

So, those are your work clothes, worn while working with paint? Makes sense. But unless you dress that way when you're going to lunch or going out in public, why say you dress that way as if that's your go-to outfit?

No I am not attacking the "alleged" victim. You don't get what I am saying. They had her dress and have her hair done in a certain way to make her look like disheveled, like someone who had just been attacked -- it was very intentional.

WTF? No.

That is what I wear all the time! I only dress up for events or meetings.

Is Kavanaugh the first nominee so obviously politically active/partisan? I knew previous nominees have signaled their thoughts on various issues, but were any of them this politically active? Seems shocking to me.
