| And Jesus said, let my fingers do the walking. Can I get an Amen?? |
|
Wow! Completely inappropriate.
Poor girl. He also controlled her. He did not let her move away and instead he dug his fingers in. I hope he gets punished and shamed. What can a girl do in this situation? I am thinking hard about this. Maybe she could have "fake sneezed" and pushed him away while stepping back. Would that have worked? She could have said "So sorry, but I have to sneeze" ...and moved away. I think celebrity women (and other women) need to practice some of these scenarios to protect themselves from pervs. If she would have removed his hand on TV without saying anything, there would have been a backlash from the internet trolls. |
Sorry. I have to amend this. This was no just "inappropriate". We all have witnessed a sexual molestation at the very least. |
| what a creep. poor girl. the digging of his fingers especially made me cringe |
I like to think that young women should be able to defend themselves against sexual abuse without worrying about internet trolls. I'm not judging her for not doing something. I think that when people are in that situation it's easy to freeze up. The fault here is all him. But hopefully we can all acknowledge that removing his hand on TV or walking away from the podium would have been a legitimate choice. |
This is my hope for the future too. With the level of misogyny and sexual abuse in this country currently, women are shamed for speaking up or protesting. Also, I do think that the situation was so surreal that she was shocked. Her attempts to remove herself did not happen because he dug his fingers in her sides. This is a serious predator who has got away from doing this and much more many, many times before. |
| I see him touching her side. Possibly not the best look but I wouldn’t call it groping or touching inappropriately. |
|
Just want to point out that the bishop has apologized for both transgressions. As I said, earlier, young black folks would handle it and make sure he knew he was wrong, on both counts.

| Anybody know what she is saying about it? |
| Apart from anything else she was dressed inappropriately and trashy at the service. |
| I think he was overly friendly but not being a pervert. This man is no fool. Not only was he on stage but he was also being televised, I doubt that he intentionally set out to grope or make her uncomfortable. |
| I don’t think he groped her but the comment about Taco Bell was wrong for sure. |
They should have used "sexual molestation". Groping sounds very tame for this brazen public attack on national tv. |
Are you a man or a woman? Most woman recognize it for what it is, but men continue to give the benefit of doubt. I do not know if most men are MALICIOUS but they certainly are OBLIVIOUS. I have made my teen daughter and son watch this and talked about it. |
Victim blaming much, asshole? |
