Ariana Grande touched inappropriately at Aretha Franklin funeral

He was just hugging her/ squeezing her toward him and trying to get a good response from the audience. Probably did not even realize his hand was on a boob and likely was mortifies to realize it. I can totally picture my awkward Dad doing something like this genuinely unwittingly. Really now, talk about overly PC freak out!!

A lot of gropers are someone’s “awkward dad”. They know exactly what they are doing.

I'm not worried only because if he gets away with it this time, he WILL do it again. Because he's an entitled filthy man who thinks he's above it all.

Who knows how many girls he's already assaulted?

Totally disgusting.

The gentleman in the background definitely does not approve.

What else has this man been doing with the girls in that church?

I remember seeing her on a show and she kept clomping around awkwardly and acting stupid. It wasn’t funny at all, it just came across as super awkward and annoying. Kind of like the donut licking incident; not funny or cute, just stupid.

I agree. She’s a bit like those little “accessory dogs” that are small and cute, but their owners let them get away with bad behavior because of this, so the become spoiled. Big dogs, on the other hand, get corrected quickly, and are often well behaved.

None of this justifies what happened to her. If you believe being groped is a “correction”, you are a sick person.

PP here. No one said it justifies it, it was just commentary on her behavior and the image she portrays.

If it doesn't justify it or have any relevance, then it has no place in this conversation

There's a dumb troll on this thread trying to defend the perp. Ignore him.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how inappropriate is this?
I guess 1 would be not even touching and 10 would be completely groping her between the legs or something

The man is complete filth.

She moved away and he readjusted his grasp to touch her breast again.

God bless America.

She's always been Great.

No one dresses as a come on. They dress because they like it, For themselves.

Please. You think hookers are dressing for themselves?

Can you please stop with this nonsense and noise to take away from what the real problem is. Ariana Grande can show up in a garbage bag and people will still pay to hear her sing and men would still desire her. That's a little different than being a hooker, as much as it's all blurry in your mind.

Now back to the subject - he inappropriately touched her, something that he defines as 'being overly friendly', so he is still above it all and not admitting that he wouldn't touch his daughter like that or his sister...or would he??? What a scumbag!

Agree with everything, except let's stop calling it "inappropriate touching". A little pat on my pregnant belly by a stranger is an "inappropriate touch".
What he did was sexual assault. Let's be perfectly clear.

Sorry, you're absolutely right! I'm a foreigner and so mad about this, probably making a lot of mistakes.

The important thing is to always report anything you think is creepy in any way. And always get a copy of your report. Teach this to your age-appropriate children.

No one is saying he had the right to grope her.
It's also true that she wore a sexy dress to sing at a funeral. Unless you think she just grabbed the first thing off the rack, she dressed to look a certain way on purpose. It's not what most people would consider appropriate attire for a funeral.

I wouldn't wear that kind of dress to a funeral or advice my daughter wear it, but I can imagine that Ariana Grande being young and a performer chose this dress to simply look pretty performing. A whole team of wardrobe people probably didn't have much influence on a girl who just wanted to look her best. It's quite possible that's she's never been to a funeral and that making it "a celebration of Aretha's life", she thought it was appropriate too look like that.

I don't think Aretha would be offended, when I think about it.
It is actually crazier that her dead body was dressed in different outfits?

+1
No way should Ariana be held accountable, in any way.

Re: second paragraph PP: I wondered about that too. But hey, it's Aretha, the original Diva. Who else could get away with multiple costume changes in their death?

Who knows, but I'm really concerned that his congregation hasn't fired him. That's telling all the girls and young women in that church that it's ok for the pastor to put his hands on your private parts and have his way with you. We don't know if he's a serial rapist or not. No doubt he does some good things for those church members, but he shouldn't be allowed to assault young women. Maybe his victims have been successfully silenced. We just don't know.

Private parts? Serial rapist?

Many women including Ariana have no issue with publicly displaying their beasts. They are not private parts nor are they sexual. They are just body parts that are mammary glands. Hence why it is legal to go topless in many places - not a private part.

And I highly doubt this was intentional. It was on live TV.

OMG. who are you? Do you realize how crazy and absurd you sound.? That preacher is a creep and needs to get his ass kicked. That was clearly molestation. How blatant and entitled should he be to doing this to a girl on live TV?

PP might be another creep, molesting girls. Too much defending the pastor.

Nope. Nope. Nope. If you took a poll and asked men whether or not they notice when they've got a grip on a boob, 100% will say yes. You are as naive AF.
