The fact that this is so SCANDALOUS to you kind of gives me pause and makes me think about your own immaturity in addition to these circumstances. And, possibly, his own immaturity if dating undergrads is his MO. Yuck. I've been with my 10 year older guy for 8 years, so that doesn't bother me. Your young age does though, and if you were my daughter I wouldst be thrilled.

Just did a quick check of Georgetown’s Dept of psychology’s faculty webpage. It is not that hard to narrow down the DC university assistant professor in psychology crowd.

He has never dated a student before. And I don’t find this “scandalous” I just wanted to know if this is a common occurrence amongst professors/undergrads

People will think it's funny. My now husband was my ta. It's not a big deal. You know what is a big deal though? Living with a professor in the middle of nowhere. It happens a lot.
