Oh, I get that. I just find it strange that she's allowed a complete pass on doing anything to promote her work when everyone else gets out there and sings on shows, appears to talk about their albums, etc. Sure, she can sit back and let only music and performances on her own terms (making a bundle) speak for her; that's fine. Like I said--it's a kind of genius that she uses silence and absence to create mystique. I just suspect there isn't some deep goddess behind the silence whose every song needs to be parsed for hidden meanings. Some of her fans seem to think so. |
No. I don't get it. |
Met someone on vacay a few weeks ago who has worked with her. Claims she is one of the worst people she has ever met. Treats everyone, including her musicians and crew like shit. |

Kanye and Beyonce are different people idiot |
Black Irish cousins perhaps? ![]() |
It's Sarah Palin posting. That and her O'Biden in the debate... |
I'm a huge Beyonce fan and DC fan from the beginning like 90s and this is dead wrong. I remember when I saw her video of Crazy in love come out as a teen with Jay-z. She has worked extremely hard, but almost all of her work since that song has been with him/about him in some way. I'm not even a huge fan of his, but so much of her career/songs have revolved around him. I'll never forget the day I saw the Crazy in Love video and couldn't believe that's how she launched her career. (complete album about being dangerously in love) Love her though!! |
You may be a fan of Beyonce but clearly not one of Jay-z. When they met he hadnt had a radio hit in some time. He was breaking up the Roc family Dirty South rap was on the comeup and lil Wayne was making a name for himself. She may have focused her music on him. And that's probably because she was in love. But in doing that, she brought him back into the limelight. They helped each other. She made him legit, brought him mainstream, and he gave her street cred. |
And yet... here you are! ![]() |
You seem to be taking criticism of "Bey" very personally. Why is that? |
Not the PP, but this is a woman Michelle Obama called "a role model for us all"? Here are some lovely lyrics I'm sure you're sharing with your kids. Because you know, role model. "Driver roll up the partition please Driver roll up the partition please I don't need you seeing 'Yonce on her knees Took forty-five minutes to get all dressed up We ain't even gonna make it to this club Now my mascara running, red lipstick smudged Oh he so horny, yeah he want to f*ck He bucked all my buttons, he ripped my blouse He Monica Lewinski'd all on my gown" |
I guess but I would say if she wasn't with him initially I'm not sure where she'd be today. There is a reason she chose to come out with that song in 2003 and release an album called Dangerously in Love. It's definitely not all for "love". He's also a pretty big producer so even still I'd say being attached to him has helped her a great deal. |
Nothing about her has ever interested me. |
Angelina Jolie was/is known for the same masterful affect. Especially in regards to her kids plus formerly being the perfect couple. I remember when she got paid something crazy like $3 million for first pictures of Shiloh and the twins. |
