She's a genius in one respect: By not giving interviews, she (or her management) makes herself seem mysterious and "above it all." It feeds the goddess image. You won't see her playing goofy games on Fallon's show or showing pictures of her kids to Ellen DeGeneres. I dislike the image that she floats so high above the world that she doesn't have to get out there and shill like all the other celebrities, but her fans seem to love her being up on the mountaintop. |
That's exactly how I feel about Taylor Swift. But you know, different strokes right? |
She’s a good dancer and physically fit. Her music is boring and forgettable. |
I imagine she probably wouldn’t like you either. |
Im not a Beyoncé fan but I do not hate her. I can appreciate that she works hard for her brand. I am however, trying to understand ppl claiming she has an attitude. She rarely speaks. When she does actually speak she’s soft spoken, smiles a lot, and sounds country (which then ppl attribute to her being dumb). It seems ppl are confusing her fan base with her. |
same, I think she is awful |
What an absolutely ridiculous question. You obviously already know the answer to this, I guess you just wanted to create a bash beyonce thread. I swear, the things that people get off on! ![]() |
Why should she? Just to say she did it? Serious question. |
+1. Trashy person, singing garbage songs, yuck. |
Obviously she doesn't as she has not missed not one coin doing it her way. |
I'm no Bey fan, but name ONE song of hers that you know all the lyrics to. |
She likely goes on living her best life #unbothered by the people in this thread. Just as Taylor Swift doesn't care that I think she is trash. |
I've downloaded clean versions of some of the Lemonade songs. I have to say, they're growing on me. My 8-year-old loves Daddy Lessons, and I kind of like Formation. They're not the musical equivalent of Shakespeare or anything, but they are musically complex and innovative for pop music imho. They all sound very different, and I especially like the fusing of hip hop/country, hip hop/alternative rock/hard rock. No, the lyrics aren't profound, but they're fun, and isn't that what pop music is about? I think it's rather good for a pop album in an artsy, rather than a bubblegum catchy, sort of way. |
I have the same “issue” with her that I do with Mariah and Christina Aguilara.. they over sing everything. Just sing. We all know you can knock it out of the park, so you know, just sing sometimes, stay with the beat, and don’t add in all kinds of vocal acrobatics into every.damn.song.
I actually didn’t mind the Ed Sheeran song that someone posted upthread.. but even that, she is so afflicted with singing slightly offbeat, and a certain way, that I couldn’t love it. That being said, it’s one of the better things I think I’ve hesrd from her. All being said, I think she has a lot of talent, mostly in marketing herself. |
