Yep, her shows are explicit and we tell young girls of color to look to her and then complain they are viewed as sexual objects

This is insane. She's a grown woman. She sings about sexuality in a way that is empowering for women. I mean, are you some weirdo who has sex through a hole in a sheet and clutches your pearls about Madonna, Britney, Gaga, Alanis, Prince, Cyndi, and basically every other frickin pop star? Do you realize sex is part of life? Are you seriously trying to blame Beyonce for the hypersexualization of black girls? WTF is wrong with you?

She has used her power to shed light on issues of racism and sexism and is contributing a rich volume of work to our culture. You don't have to like it, but your criticism is mindless.

Not the PP, but this is a woman Michelle Obama called "a role model for us all"? Here are some lovely lyrics I'm sure you're sharing with your kids. Because you know, role model.

"Driver roll up the partition please
Driver roll up the partition please
I don't need you seeing 'Yonce on her knees
Took forty-five minutes to get all dressed up
We ain't even gonna make it to this club
Now my mascara running, red lipstick smudged
Oh he so horny, yeah he want to f*ck
He bucked all my buttons, he ripped my blouse
He Monica Lewinski'd all on my gown"

Beyonce is singing this song about giving head to her husband. Not some random man.
Her husband.
In a limo on their way to a club appearance for show.
Her husband.
She is a wife, singing about the good, the bad, and the ugly in her marriage.
There are worse things people can do than refer to their marital sex life.

Ya, sorry. She's nasty and far far away from a role model but go ahead and encourage your daughter to look up to her. Those lyrics by the way can pertain to anyone. Beyonce may be singing about her husband but when a 14 yr old girl is singing it, who do you think she's singing about?

NP here, Nobody, just like when I was 14 and singing the lyrics to Darling Nikki by Prince. Which is basically about him having sex with a prostitute. Or when I was singing the lyrics to Sugar Walls by Sheena Easton. "Walls" referring to her vagina walls. I could go on and on.

I would love to see the real, authentic + genuine Beyoncé Knowles.

Natural hair 100%.
Color/texture/length.

I have never even seen her hair anything but blonde.

Back in 2013 she had a pixie cut.

Last year her hair stylist posted some photos of her with long curly hair and he said that it was her natural hair. Here is one of those photos:

As you can imagine there was much controversry whether this was true or not, then her mother posted a photo of her with the following caption:
"INCHES!!!! So happy my baby’s hair grew back !! She is going to get me ?,"
With this picture:

She looks beautiful with dark hair

Why cant some of you dummies just not like Beyonce's music and move on.

Stop attaching your dislike behind some fake moral standard, especially if you accept the atmosphere we are in right now.

Even if the before mentioned point is consistent (I am sure its not), just admit why you really dont like her and stop hiding behind morals and standards you dont hole up with.

You dont like her music and the messaging that goes against thought you have about certain topics (race, police, etc). Dont try to pretend its about explicit lyrics and talk about sex with her husband. Are you that damn prude? Go post in the non explicit section about not getting sex from your husband and how he's cheating on you and shut up.

And here's a no makeup picture.

So glad no one has shared pics of her beefy legs.

Wow. That you're justifying those lyrics being sung and emulated by young girls - oh, and MICHELLE OBAMA and her DAUGHTERS - is just unreal. I don't care who she's singing about. Would you want your young daughters (if you have any) singing along with this??

Exactly. There are some not very bright bulbs here. Or else just some horrendous parents.

Anonymous wrote:She's a genius in one respect: By not giving interviews, she (or her management) makes herself seem mysterious and "above it all." It feeds the goddess image. You won't see her playing goofy games on Fallon's show or showing pictures of her kids to Ellen DeGeneres. I dislike the image that she floats so high above the world that she doesn't have to get out there and shill like all the other celebrities, but her fans seem to love her being up on the mountaintop.

Obviously she doesn't as she has not missed not one coin doing it her way.

Oh, I get that. I just find it strange that she's allowed a complete pass on doing anything to promote her work when everyone else gets out there and sings on shows, appears to talk about their albums, etc. Sure, she can sit back and let only music and performances on her own terms (making a bundle) speak for her; that's fine. Like I said--it's a kind of genius that she uses silence and absence to create mystique. I just suspect there isn't some deep goddess behind the silence whose every song needs to be parsed for hidden meanings. Some of her fans seem to think so.

I suspect that her dad did a lot of work behind the scenes from a very young age to carve that exception and path for her.

I'm not a fan and I don't think she's any kind of role model, but she is truly beautiful. That much is undeniable.
