omfg you were all totally right about the revlon thingy

Anyone have any tips/suggestions for cleaning it (other than taking hair out)? I spray my hair with a heat protector (not that much) and use the Revlon and after some time (many months) there seems to be some product build-up. I'm afraid to wet it, obviously... lest it short circuit. Maybe I'm missing something obvious. Thanks.

Maybe just rub it with a rag and some rubbing alcohol?

I sometimes use a Clorox wipe after I remove the hairs, in between the bristles. I keep the wipes in the bathroom anyway so it's handy.

I ordered the Revlon dryer because of this thread and I was really disappointed. I must not have the correct hair type for it. I have long curly hair. I have a lot of it, but it's not particularly thick. It did get straight, but there was frizz on the outer layer and it just seemed dull and it wasn't sleek at all. I would have to use a straightener or a curling iron to get it to look better, so it's not a time saver for me. It is way more high heat than I typically use (I diffuse my hair for a few minutes and then let it air dry) and I just think it's not worth it for me. I can see how it would be awesome for people with different hair types. Back to Ulta it goes .

I ordered it because of this thread too, and used it for the first time today. I have shoulder length curls, a mix of waves and spirals.
I was impressed that it was quick and easy to blow my hair pretty straight. It did not add volume. It was not as hot or loud as I expected. The ends of my hair flip out in weird ways but maybe that is my poor technique. My main issue is that I have a Ouidad cut for curly hair and it does not look smooth or even when straight.

I have to flat iron mine but it doesn't take that long. I have thick, curly, frizzy hair.

I have a deva cut, so my hair also doesn't look quite right when straight.

Still, I love this thing for the couple of times a year I want to go straight. I added in a flat iron to the routine and it's still crazy fast.

Np here. Just got mine last week and have gotten nonstop compliments on my hair. It seriously takes me about 7 minutes to do my whole head, and it looks A M A Z I N G.

Like one of the Pps mentioned, it also really reduces the volume of my hair more than I'd like. I have a TON of fine hair, so I've found that using a volumizing spray really helps. It gives me just enough more volume and edgy definition.

The blowout is so great it lasts for several days. Seriously people... get yourselves one of these!!!!

First time poster and did not read the whole thread, but asked for this for Christmas and has CHANGED MY LIFE. Kind of like grocery delivery changed m life. Haha. There is a technique required to get volume. People said to YouTube, but I just played around. My hair absolutely looks better because of this device.

Oh and added bonus, I only wash my hair every other day now. Seriously, I could sell this for revlon.

Can you please share the technique you use to get volume? This thing makes my hair super flat. Thanks!

I got one yesterday and I love it. I have thick, almost shoulder length hair and I definitely needed to blow it partially dry first, but it looks a million times better than my regular blow drying efforts, and better than the ceramic straightening brush I have been using post-blow dry.

I, too, have been amazed by the results of this thing! It leaves my coarse, curly hair sleek and smooth - no frizz at all! Just like a salon blowout. My only complaint is the same as many other PPs - not enough volume. I like a smooth blowout, but I also like it not to be stick straight. Volume would be good. I think it's a result of the oval shaped brush - it needs to be round to create lift.

Other than that, I'm thrilled. It took me five minutes to dry my hair that usually takes about 15 minutes with a round brush and dryer. Yippee!

I keep my head turned upside down when drying and get better volume. It makes the ends not as nice though since my hair is pretty short, but the flat iRon quickly deals with that.

Section the top, take a top chunk of hair and hold it straight up in the air, then roll the hair around the dryer toward scalp. Hold it there for a second then do more chunks like that on top of head. Hope this makes sense.
