But it's not about actually doing anything with guys like Corker--it's all about him being a petulant little prima donna who is pissed off because Trump doesn't give a shit about Bob Corker and by gum you better give a shit about Bob Corker!!!!

How do you know he hasn't tried? Wasn't there some R congressman who was working with a D to fix ACA? It wasn't Corker, but it seems like some Rs are trying, though they are too few and far between.

It was Lamar Alexander, the other R from Tennessee.

Good for Corker for belatedly speaking the truth with his "adult daycare" remarks. It's becoming more acceptable to talk about Trump's mental state now. Anyone who has experienced a parent with Alzheimer's or dementia can see some warning signs with our President.

Tuesday night, Stephen Colbert said POTUS has narcissistic personality disorder. It's obvious he does to anyone in the mental health field, even those who are Republicans.

I don't understand why he's not shoved out! The country will be run by Pence or Ryan, solid conservatives who are more likely to get things done that conservatives like. But we wouldn't be living under a crazy man who has the means to destroy the entire world.

BTW, the Vanity Fair article mentioned that Kelly and Mattis have a plan to tackle the POTUS if he tries to launch a nuclear assault!! This is the stuff of fiction, yet it's real, right here in the USA.

PP - I hope you were able to catch the press briefing today where Chief of Staff Kelly answered questions from the media.
It would be enlightening to you, and other liberals, who believe that Kelly is frustrated, hates his job, and has these secret plans.
In a nutshell, he isn’t planning on quitting, doesn’t plan on being fired, and expressed his frustration with the press - particularly the things that are written about him and POTUS that he knows are totally wrong. His advice to the press - “Get better sources.”
And, in several instances, he expressed to the media which kind of “face” he was making - certainly in reference to the press articles that say he is frustrated when photographed.
It would be a good way to spend a half hour of time.

Oh, a Trumpster has a suggestion for how we can better ourselves?

Here's one for you: look for a psychologist with a speciality in cult de-programming. You need it.

Well, what do you expect Kelly to say?

I guess PP has forgotten about Kelly handing Trump a sword to use on the press, or his very antagonistic relationship with the press as the head of DHS. I can't say that I like Kelly much, he seems nutty himself. But he also is smart enough to know that nukes are a no-no, and seems to have realized that his boss is beyond nutty, approaching 25th Amendment territory.

Exactly. The reasoning that they want to pass the tax plan first is nonsense. With Pence as President it will be much easier to pass legislation. They will be get so much more done, more of the Republican agenda, much more "winning". So what is the real hesitation??

The Trump base, of course. The base doesn't give a shit about Pence and hates pretty much all the Republican establishment.

Not OP. Yeah, it's so weird. They've been doing some excellent political articles. Have they always done that?

Um... no. Just no, PP. Switching to FB would be an upgrade.

Here's what progressives don't really seem to grasp. Although it's very "impolite" for politicians and national leaders to deny that nukes are a "no-no," in actuality, nukes are a very big "yes-yes" and always have been. The Pentagon is full of scenarios in which we use nukes. Nukes are a core part of our national defense and deterrence scheme. That's why we have MORE OF THEM then the entire rest of the world, combined!

You may not want it, you may not like it, it may scare you--but the central core of our national defense policy has been our nuclear arsenal.

The brilliance (crazyness?) of North Korea is to openly decide to develop their own nuclear capability to try to "even the scales" and basically dare us to stop them. We have lots of nukes, they probably only have a few. But a few is enough for N. Korea to accomplish what it wants--which is to deter the United States. It seems to be working.

Nope. Apparently the North Koreans are smarter than you are. If you are unwilling to use your nuclear arsenal under any circumstances, then why do you have it? We wouldn't "all be dead" in the event of a nuclear war with North Korea, not by a long shot. Does that mean we shouldn't try to avoid it if possible? No of course not. However, only an idiot, or a progressive, would take the position that the United States will never use its nuclear weapons.

I'm a conservative. You and Trump do not understand nuclear weapons or their use. North Korea is acting rationally by working towards nuclear capabilities, and the crazier that the US acts, the more rational they seem.
