Good for Corker for belatedly speaking the truth with his "adult daycare" remarks. It's becoming more acceptable to talk about Trump's mental state now. Anyone who has experienced a parent with Alzheimer's or dementia can see some warning signs with our President.

Tuesday night, Stephen Colbert said POTUS has narcissistic personality disorder. It's obvious he does to anyone in the mental health field, even those who are Republicans.

I don't understand why he's not shoved out! The country will be run by Pence or Ryan, solid conservatives who are more likely to get things done that conservatives like. But we wouldn't be living under a crazy man who has the means to destroy the entire world.

BTW, the Vanity Fair article mentioned that Kelly and Mattis have a plan to tackle the POTUS if he tries to launch a nuclear assault!! This is the stuff of fiction, yet it's real, right here in the USA.

Exactly. The reasoning that they want to pass the tax plan first is nonsense. With Pence as President it will be much easier to pass legislation. They will be get so much more done, more of the Republican agenda, much more "winning". So what is the real hesitation??

They're all as badly compromised by Russia as the "conspiracy theorists" on Twitter say they are, is my guess, and they know that if they bring Trump down, the extent of their treason will be exposed.

Vanity Fair, OP? Vanity Fair?

Not OP. Yeah, it's so weird. They've been doing some excellent political articles. Have they always done that?

Um... no. Just no, PP. Switching to FB would be an upgrade.

Vanity Fair? Seriously?!

John Kelly basically called them fake media. Did they do a single report on Weinstein's sexual assault for the past three decades?

It's Citizen's United that started this mess with the influx of dark money and the Mercers and Kochs of the world buying up candidates with their hedge fund billions.

This x one million. This is the problem.

Nope. Apparently the North Koreans are smarter than you are. If you are unwilling to use your nuclear arsenal under any circumstances, then why do you have it? We wouldn't "all be dead" in the event of a nuclear war with North Korea, not by a long shot. Does that mean we shouldn't try to avoid it if possible? No of course not. However, only an idiot, or a progressive, would take the position that the United States will never use its nuclear weapons.

It's as if there are only two countries in your world, the US and NK. There are also China, South Korea and Japan, Iran, as well as many other countries. Did you know that?

It's not just his advisors or Vanity Fair reporting how unhinged some Rs who deal with him are finding him:

https://www.yahoo.com/news/former-republican-member-congress-apos-093300061.html

"Republicans are waiting to pass their tax-reform bill before they move to impeach Donald Trump, a former Republican member of Congress reportedly told a former US labour secretary.

In a Facebook post, Robert Reich said the former senator, an old friend of his, told him Republicans are "just praying Trump doesn't do something really, really stupid before the tax bill."

Speaking over the phone, Mr Reich said he asked his friend whether other Republican senators were preparing to follow Senator Bob Corker and "call it quits with Trump".

His source told him: "Others are thinking about doing what Bob did. Sounding the alarm. They think Trump’s nuts. Unfit. Dangerous."

He said the US President's personal attacks on his own staff "got them to notice all the other things," such as his threats about North Korea."

Yep. I used to get the paper version back in the day when that was how one read magazines. and they did some top notch Longform journalism. Some political, some entertainment, some other news. Nice mix. But it was a mix of hard hitting meaty stuff and Golden Globes dresses. Definately good thought provoking longform articles. Leans liberal, but not fake news. And this was circa 2007-2008. They have kept it up since them, although I now read it on an iPad. Smart magazine-- definately not People, but thicker.

I would not let the catchy blurbs and click bait on FB fool you. If that is all you have seen of VF, you are missing out. They have some excellent writers and journalists.

The GOP took dirty Russian money (unwittingly?) and used it for congressional races. Now those Rs are worried about being sucked into the controversy. Remember the conversation Paul Ryan had about keeping secrets in the family?

Also, who knows if other campaigns used the targeting data that was also used by Russia.
