The entire lot of Republicans needs to go. Seriously. Dereliction of duty.

Get the money out of politics and raise qualifications for candidates. Start over. I bet they’d be relieved to go.

This is the root of the problem.

His deplorable crazies deserve him. Sad the rest of the world has to pay for their fucking low IQs as well.

As long as we don't end with a nuclear war, I am all for Trump to be around to hang the republican party.

I am the liberal who corrected myself. At least I didn't force my press secretary to repeat the misinformation. "My inauguration is the biggest" my ass.

To be a conservative is to be completely void of having any sense of self responsibility to display some semblance of personal integrity.

Must be nice to be able to waltz through life and spout off stupidity without a clue or a care.

trump voters deserve this mess. I actually hope his tax bill passes - trump supporters deserve to pay more in taxes for what they have done to this country. I, as a screaming Liberal will pay far, far less.

This.

It is truly appalling that Republicans think he'd start a nuclear war with literally no reason.

I hope every single sick one of you Trump voters is made to apologize to your friends and family. You did this. We warned you.

Hard to do with the current status of our Supreme Court. It's Citizen's United that started this mess with the influx of dark money and the Mercers and Kochs of the world buying up candidates with their hedge fund billions.

These posts identify the main reasons we are in this mess. A small group of extremist billionaires have figured out that they can use a crude ethnonationalist populism to keep a core group of low information voters loyal and permanently ginned up about cultural issues while they take a wrecking ball to our liberal democratic norms and institutions. As a special bonus they also raid our Treasury by giving themselves 70% of a purportedly "middle class" tax cut. Next up sale of our public lands to extraction companies, bully or order federal civil servants to stop regulating businesses. If you care about consumer protections worker safety and environmental protection you should be concerned

It doesn’t seem like they’re much enjoying their jobs as trained but leashed lap dogs.

Meanwhile, I’m thinking What’s the Matter With Kansas will be the story my seven year old reads in some high school class about the fall of the American empire.

If we can afford high school at that point, because at the current trajectory there will be no more public school options.

Which means either very expensive independent private schools or parochial schools. DeVos gets her wish.
