Barbara Comstock's NRA $

Barbara and her husband both come from family money $$$.
I live nearby and know where she lives. Her house is easily worth 1.5 mil. Barbara and her friends are really out of touch if they think that is "modest".

is her house really just a 2 story house? I could have sworn that an acquaintance of mine, whose house I have been to out there by Langley, said she was a neighbor of theirs. Their house is definitely not like the PP described. And it falls in the 1.5 Mil range, IIRC.

$1.5 is about what I'd call "average".

ENOUGH! You women beating up on another woman who has taken on a very difficult job has got to stop. Men don't behave this way about other candidates. This is not adult behavior. Your comments are infantile. Some of us were undecided before. After reading this childish display of picking, picking, picking for an election that is 13 months away, I am definitely voting for Comstock.

Apparently you haven't heard anything out of Trump's mouth, ever.

Right?

Maybe by McLean standards?

I can assure you that the home in what I thought was her neighborhood is NOT what I would call average in any sense of the word. Was it an estate? No, but it was the nicest house I have been to this in this area.

NP here.

Have you never paid attention to a single political campaign, ever, in the history of politics?

Yes, Barbara Comstock (I do call her "Babs" because I was under the impression that it was her nickname. If it not, I will stop using it) has taken on a very difficult job. However she has, since taking it, not been open with her constituents at all. She replies to calls, letters, emails with form letters. She won't hold a town hall. Oh, and she is a public figure, she signed herself up for this. She isn't someone who got thrown into the public eye with no knowledge.

That aside, she is all optics. She claims to be a "champion for women" with her photo ops with high school girls, and her intern programs and such, but her voting record speaks a very different story.

She does not seem to care about the interests of her constituents, rather the interests of her donors and her fellow members of Congress. That is why I am not a fan of Comstock and am not planning to vote for her in 2018. Not because she is a Republican. Not because she votes with Trump nearly *all* of the time. But because she doesn't seem to care about her constituents and what matters to us.

Who I will vote for is to be decided, as there are many, many, many candidates who have expressed an interest in running. But it will certainly be someone I trust cares about me and my family. And Barbara Comstock just isn't that person.

Wow, that poster was making a rude presumption about someone whose child was shot in the VA Tech massacre. Really low, and I say that as a gun owner (and NRA hater).

You don't own a gun.

You can't own a gun but dislike the NRA?

We're about inherit a rifle. I have been active in MDA and attended a vigil at the NRA on the 10th anniversary of VA Tech in honor of my friend who lost her brother that day.

I'll do you one better. I'm married to a former military member who is not a big fan of guns, especially around children, and is only taking the rifle because it is an antique from his father, who passed away recently.

As I said - and was proved correct by your own admission - you don't own a gun.

You should take the rifle and surrender it to the local police. Let them destroy it. Or toss it in a river. Get rid of it somehow, as you are not fit to own it.

I'm not the pp you said didn't own a gun previously. Do we currently have the antique rifle I am telling you about in our possession? No. But my husband is just trying to figure out how to get it home from his hometown.

We can't own an antique that we likely will never use to shoot just because we don't really believe in owning firearms for protection?

I also love that you would tell a former military member and current federal security contractor that he is unfit to own a gun.

20 years of training mean nothing, huh?
