this x infinity

I swear, the more I hear about why people voted, it reminds me of a child having a temper tantrum. And it makes me want a divorce from anyone who can't make a reasonable voting decision and instead votes to "make a point"

+1
That's because liberals are the only ones who *consistently* use insults as a form of communication. It's all they know.

+1,000. That's what each and every one of these threads attacking Barbara 13 months before an election are. Strategized insults

Strategized by whom?
Anonymous
Anonymous DCUM posters have secret midnight meetings strategizing how to coordinate their attacks on poor innocent beleaguered Barbie.

Maybe by McLean standards?

I can assure you that the home in what I thought was her neighborhood is NOT what I would call average in any sense of the word. Was it an estate? No, but it was the nicest house I have been to this in this area.

So, do you feel similarly about the homes of Democratic politicians? How about the Obamas' home(s)? Clintons? Any number of local Democrats? Or is it just when a Republican has a nice home, they're a target?

Its only an issue in this thread b/c Barbara's friend brought it up, claiming her home was "modest".

By McLean standards, it is. Why do you care so very much?

Apparently you haven't heard anything out of Trump's mouth, ever.

Apparently, you don't understand why many of us were pushed to vote for Trump. Hint: it has to do with the same sanctimonious, self-righteous liberals seen on this very thread. Pushed us right over the edge, and will likely do it again in future elections. The learning curve is steep with you people, isn't it?

You chose to vote for him. No one "pushed" you into it. Own your choice.
Also "many of us" (DC Urban moms) certainly did not vote for him. He got about 2 votes in DC.

Get out of your bubble. I'm in NoVA and *plenty* of reasonable people voted for him. And I absolutely own my choice. That doesn't mean that many of us weren't pushed into it by the attitudes of sanctimonious liberals such as yourself. You were just so sure he would lose the election, weren't you? Where did that get you?

It's really all they're capable of. Outrage and insults. Very limiting.

Lord. You lack self awareness. Enjoy the reign of the insulter in chief while you can.

Exactly pp's point. You chose to vote for Trump. Own it. Stop blaming your bad choices on other people.

Anonymous wrote:So, I'm OP of this thread. Not some kind of operative. Just someone who lives in the area who is mad this person is one of the representatives for this region. Just to be 100% transparent, my mother lives in the Comstock district, and I live just outside. I still think it is reasonable for me to post a thread about this topic in a forum called "Metropolitan DC Local Politics."
If someone wants to start a thread about another representative from VA or MD, they should do so.

I'm amazed by the "arguments" Comstock supporters have put on this thread. Some examples:

1. You people are mean! She's a nice lady. Why are women being so mean to this nice lady who works hard?
Nice has nothing to do with it. She has a clear voting record (and a clear record of campaign contributions). I am fundamentally opposed to the positions she reflects on her voting record, and I see a clear correlation between the groups who send her money, and her voting record. Declaring that I am against an elected official does not make me 'mean". If you want to be a supporter of Comstock, tell me why you think it's awesome she is one of the top receiver of money from gun lovers and does nothing to control guns, don't just tell me I'm mean. As for her being a "hard worker" I'm not making any claims about her work ethic, but if her "work" is supporting ideas I fundamentally disagree with, then I'm not going to support her!

It's telling that, like Comstock, rather than actually speaking to people and articulating policies, you hide behind the idea that any criticism is unfair and she shouldn't have to deal with it.

2. No one cares, election a year away, why are you bringing it up?
From the moment an elected official is sworn in, until the day their replacement is sworn in, they represent their district. It is the responsibility of citizens of a district to tell their representative how they think the representative should fulfill her/his duties. Comstock can decide to listen to constituents or not, and like any elected official, that could have implications for her when election time does roll around, but there is not some magic window that is the only time constituents should communicate their opinions.

If you live outside, then your are probably a paid shill. No one in the 10th congressional district cares about what you think. I wouldn't write anything about a race in a congressional district in Maryland - why would you an outsider put so much time into this post unless you had an agenda or were being paid by the DCCC or some other group or by someone who plans to run against Barbara as a carpetbagger? It makes no sense and you protesth too much.
Anonymous
Because everyone is effected by the decisions of Congress, so everyone has a vested interest. I can criticize Rohrbacher (RUS) even though I don't live in his district.
Anonymous
^^^ And It is pretty myopic to think that anyone who disagrees with you is a paid shill. Do you think everyone who protests the Trump admin is paid by Soros?

Already said I "own" my choice. Can you people not read? And btw - a liberal preaching about "personal responsibility" is so very rich.
