So stop acting like a whiny snowflake "those mean liberals made me vote for Trump." Can't you read? Bolded it above. |
It really isn't. I care b/c Barbara's friend is trying to downplay her obvious wealth, and poor-mouthing is a pet peeve. |
Kind of like the "NAZI! RACIST! MISOGYNIST!" posters? The difference is, "sanctimonious liberals" is actually accurate. |
|
I like this thread for no other reason than it provides an amazing illustration of just how little money the NRA gives to politicians.
She's the 2nd biggest recipient of NRA money, and the sum total of it wouldn't even buy a 10-year-old Subaru Outback. That's awesome. |
|
Ahahahaha you said it again. Did you go to the same college as DeVos? Or any college, for that matter? |
That's your retort?
|
Right?!?!?! I always thought the NRA gave like millions of dollars to politicians. As in, EACH politician, got millions! Now I find out the MOST they hand out won't even pay for a 20-guest wedding?!?!?! Hahahahaha!!! There's no all-powerful gun lobby! Hell, the ABA and AMA give 50x what the NRA does! |
The thread posters address that it's actually a lot more. See pages 2 and 3. And for those of you laughing about how the NRA is so powerful- think about how little money it takes to bribe barb. Bribing barb is easy. It's actually even more disgusting how little it takes for her to vote for the NRA. |
|
That just tells me she's voting her conscience instead of being bought.
Good for her. She's. Great American. I think I'll donate to her. |
| The NRA doesn't have to give direct donations to wield power. They can run ads as an outside group and they can help to recruit candidates to run against you if you cross them. |
| I support the NRA and candidates that the NRA endorses. So if she's ok with the NRA, I don't need to know anything else about her. I'm a single issue voter. |
I +1. Did you see that one of the Texas heroes, Willeford, is a member of the NRA and worked as a NRA instructor. A lot of people don't bother to learn the good that the NRA does. |
Willeford did some good. The NRA hasn't. They've obstructed common sense gun laws every step of the way. One of Trump's first actions was to eliminate Obama era regulations limiting gun access for the mentally ill. https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/trump-signs-bill-revoking-obama-era-gun-checks-people-mental-n727221 |
If the NRA stuck to its original mission of safety and education no one would have a problem with them. |
