Barbara Comstock's NRA $

Anonymous
Virginia Congresswoman Barbara Comstock received $10,400 from the NRA during the 2016 election cycle.

Only one person, Senate or House, received more from the NRA. Roy Blunt.

I have no idea why anyone voted for her--Trump supporters? She really needs to lose the next one.

I am considering moving to her district specifically to vote against her (we are moving anyway, but voting against her and turning VA ever so slightly more blue is the only reason I would consider moving to VA).

She is just another coward. Silence

Throughout her career in the Virginia House of Delegates, Barbara Comstock has been a proven leader and stood up to every attempt by anti-gun extremists to degrade and erode our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage.
In the race for Virginia's 10th U.S. Congressional District, Barbara Comstock is a leader we can trust, no matter how big the fight.

I plan on voting for her, if only because she spear-headed the bill to immediately deport any illegal immigrant involved in gang activity, primarily MS-13. Good for her. Time to clean up the violent mess that MS-13 has made of the DC area.

Hear that dog whistle?

Disgusting. I'm old enough to remember just how long this same tired crap is recycled, over and over again. Enough!

Then you are disappointed with Trump, whose Administration has slowed deportation since January, right?

DP. I am not at all disappointed with Trump. His administration has SLOWED ILLEGAL ALIENS from entering our country. So, it goes to reason that illegal deportation has slowed.
I would vote for Comstock, not because of the NRA donation (which isn’t a lot of money, BTW), but because of her position on a variety of issues. I am not a one issue voter.
But, I don’t reside in her district.

+100
Luckily, I do reside in her district so I'll be voting for her. I don't agree with her on all the issues, but certainly on the MS-13 gang deportation issue.

Talk about "recycling the same tired crap, over and over again"... anyone still using *dog whistle* and expecting to be taken seriously is recycling one of the most trite and cliched terms around. Please grow up and learn to have a conversation or debate without relying on your own lazy "dog whistles."

Lastly, I guess you're an MS-13 apologist. No one in their right mind would argue against this bill. Defending these thugs - yes, THUGS - makes YOU the disgusting one.

$10,000 is nothing. Seriously. For a U.S. congressional race? Peanuts.

The NRA is powerful not because of anything to do with money. It's powerful because it has a very devoted base of followers who are willing to be single-issue voters regarding gun rights.

$10,400 is the maximum the PAC can directly donate, so even though it's peanuts in the overall size of the campaign bucket, it's still a powerful signal.

And, they spend a LOT more on political advertisements.

Your point is mostly true, I think, but I certainly wouldn't say that money has nothing to do with their power.

The rich coward from mclean spoke.

“I am heartbroken by the mass murder that took place last night in Las Vegas and I am praying for the victims, families, and first responders.”

If the Democrats field someone half way decent against her, she's going to lose this time.

Wait a minute.

We hear from libs here all the time about how congress is in the pocket of the gun industry, how much money the gun industry has in politics, and how much the NRA influenced politicians

And now you're telling me the second biggest receiver of NRA money only got $10,000?

Are you shitting me?!?!?!?!

That's all?!?!?!?!?!

How does the NRA control congress with piddling ass little donations like that?!?!?!
