MPD changed their story about officers "hearing gunshots" - which turned out to be false (a shot detection system alerted them):
https://mpdc.dc.gov/release/homicide-2100-block-flagler-place-northwest Vs: http://bigleaguepolitics.com/seth-rich-original-police-statement-contradicts-mainstream-news-reports/ Body cameras: The 3 officers wore body cameras when they found Seth: http://bigleaguepolitics.com/three-seth-rich-police-officers-wore-body-cameras-footage-not-released/ http://bigleaguepolitics.com/democrat-spokesman-seth-rich-family-didnt-know-police-body-cameras/ |
Now you're accusing MPD? Otherwise, what's the relevance? |
|
Where are the recordings, and why haven't they been released after numerous requests? It hasn't taken this long to release them in other body-cam cases.
And where is seth's laptop? FBI claims they never had it. Does MPD? |
What would body cams show? Are you thinking that MPD killed him and is covering that up? |
| I accuse MPD of nothing more than incompetence. |
I have answered this repeatedly. The MPD examined the laptop and found nothing. It may have been returned to Rich's family at this point, but MPD probably still has an image of the data. The laptop was never provided to the FBI. |
MPD's own report indicates Seth was 1) alive and 2) conscious when 3 MPD began filming him with their body cameras. Don't you wonder what he said, since MPD states he was conscious? |
Okay, so you are a big time liar. Let's start with the fact that your source is a conspiracy theory website. But, even it says the following: "Big League Politics has requested police body camera footage from the Metropolitan Police Department, but FOIA guidelines prohibit media from accessing the footage and other FOIA requests are being denied." It does not say that the body cam footage has disappeared and it does not say that the officers have disappeared. What it does suggest is that Big League Politics is actually bush league and hasn't bothered to file its own FOIA request. As for the discrepancy between a MPD press release and early media reports, that is hardly unusual in the early stages. There was likely a minor miscommunication between the press release writer and the officers (the difference between "hearing shots" and "responding to shot spotter" being fairly minor). |
You are the big time liar, Jeff. I never claimed the officers disappeared. And MPD certainly HAS released MPD body cam video in the past. So they could release this video if they chose. Question is: if they actually have it (and who knows what to believe - coming from MPD; they aren't exactly credible these days) why are they withholding it? |
Okay, let's see which one of us is a liar. Here is your earlier post: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/45/644294.page#10956875 "The only indication there were, as you put it, "robbers" is a theory put forth by MPD (who likely wish this matter would disappear like the body-cam recordings of all 3 responding MPD officers - which also mysteriously disappeared)." Of course the MPD has released body cam video in the past. There are specific laws addressing the release of the videos. If your Big League Politics site followed the rules and was illegally denied access, it should file a lawsuit. But, much like you, sites like that are more interested in politicizing Rich's death rather than acting responsibly. If you want to know why MPD hasn't released the video, as Big League Politics. They would have been provided a written explanation for being denied. |
Um, I'm reading this as the body cams disappeared, not the officers. You forgot to bold the like the body-cam recordings part of this post. He's saying that the MPD would likely with this matter disappear like the body cam recordings of all three officers. He's maybe guilty of a sentence structure error, but not lying. |

Usually when there's a murderer on the loose, cops immediately release to the public any video footage/information, hoping for any assistance from the public.
Has anything at all been released since Seth was murdered almost one year ago, in a concerted effort to find his killer? |
Thank you. |
Hm I'm a NP and I read it to say that the body cam recordings disappeared just like the three responding MPD officers mysteriously disappeared. |
Is there footage of the murder that we've not heard about. How are you privileged to this information. |
