And MPD certainly HAS released MPD body cam video in the past.

So they could release this video if they chose. Question is: if they actually have it (and who knows what to believe - coming from MPD; they aren't exactly credible these days) why are they withholding it?

Okay, let's see which one of us is a liar. Here is your earlier post:

http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/45/644294.page#10956875

"The only indication there were, as you put it, "robbers" is a theory put forth by MPD (who likely wish this matter would disappear like the body-cam recordings of all 3 responding MPD officers - which also mysteriously disappeared)."

Of course the MPD has released body cam video in the past. There are specific laws addressing the release of the videos. If your Big League Politics site followed the rules and was illegally denied access, it should file a lawsuit. But, much like you, sites like that are more interested in politicizing Rich's death rather than acting responsibly.

If you want to know why MPD hasn't released the video, as Big League Politics. They would have been provided a written explanation for being denied.

Um, I'm reading this as the body cams disappeared, not the officers. You forgot to bold the like the body-cam recordings part of this post. He's saying that the MPD would likely with this matter disappear like the body cam recordings of all three officers. He's maybe guilty of a sentence structure error, but not lying.

He writes "disappear like the body-cam recordings" which is lie number 1 because that hasn't happened. Then he writes the bolded above referring to the officers which he says "also mysteriously disappeared". That's either lie number 2 or a Google Translate error.

Anonymous wrote:So where's that laptop, and who all has had access to it since Seth was murdered?

The laptop was inspected by MPD. As was in the Washington Post today:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/were-seth-richs-parents-stop-politicizing-our-sons-murder/2017/05/23/164cf4dc-3fee-11e7-9869-bac8b446820a_story.html

We know that Seth’s personal email and his personal computer were both inspected by detectives early in the investigation and that the inspection revealed no evidence of any communications with anyone at WikiLeaks or anyone associated with WikiLeaks. Nor did that inspection reveal any evidence that Seth had leaked DNC emails to WikiLeaks or to anyone else.

Even his parents are saying they have no answers to the cause of Seth's murder. That fact points to the absolute necessity that the investigation gets stepped up, NOT shut down. During murder investigations, the public AND the media ALWAYS speculates. How is this murder investigation so different from all others?

People are murdered all the time in DC. Random people murdered, yes. Why is his different? Is he special than all the other murder victims? Why more concern for him?

If you are asking all these questions, you are totally clueless and should not be part of this discussion.

And where is seth's laptop?

FBI claims they never had it. Does MPD?

No, according to the family neither FBI nor MPD have the laptop. MPD might have an image of his laptop, but the laptop is no longer in their possession.

Has anything at all been released since Seth was murdered almost one year ago, in a concerted effort to find his killer?

Is there footage of the murder that we've not heard about. How are you privileged to this information.

Please check your comprehension, PP.

This laptop is a mighty BIG mystery if the police department is cagey about what they found on it.

Just saying.

There needs to be an INDEPENDENT examination of that laptop. Maybe it's been "wiped" a la Hillary?

Well, if I am misunderstanding, help me to understand. Here is what the poster wrote:

"The only indication there were, as you put it, "robbers" is a theory put forth by MPD (who likely wish this matter would disappear like the body-cam recordings of all 3 responding MPD officers - which also mysteriously disappeared)."

I have bolded both uses of "disappear[ed]". My understanding is that the first use pertains to body-cam recordings. My further understanding is that the second use pertains to the MPD officers. If that is not your understanding, then please clarify what disappeared in the first instance and what disappeared in the second.

Also, keep in mind that neither the body-cam recordings nor the officers have disappeared.

DC police can't investigate DNC. In order to solve this murder, DNC servers and staff laptops need to be examined by the FBI. DNC refused to let FBI in.

Can President Trump ask FBI to open an investigation?

The double standard is huge. Here we have a murder case and lots of unanswered questions, but the standard is smoking gun or you are a conspiracy artist.

The Russian thing has zero evidence, but the media and the democrats keep pushing the conspiracy theory.

Did you miss Brennan's testimony? He explicitly said that investigation was warranted.

What federal crime are you theorizing is involved in Rich's murder?

Brennan said he saw contacts between Russians and Trump people but the contacts could be benign. He didn't give a clear answer what triggered the federal investigation. Our government, Hillary campaign also made regular contacts with Russians. Why didn't we investigate those contacts?

Hannity and many others are claiming that - Seth Rich was the source of wikileak, and DNC knew about it and was involved in silencing him. That would be the biggest federal crime there is in 2016.

Cite, please that "Hillary campaign also made regular contacts with Russians."

Not your PP, but who seriously expects D.C. to investigate ANY liberal organization, much less the DNC? You've got to be joking!!

There needs to be an INDEPENDENT investigation of Seth's unsolved murder. And no one should have the power to shut it down. Not even his family.

Totally agree. Especially since DNC did not allow FBI to access their system when it was hacked. Also, just a little interesting that the Pakistani family of IT workers who worked for so many Dems on the Hill--including DWS has not been more in the news. Certainly, they may have had access to the emails and would not have likely been beyond selling them. Could they have been involved? All sorts of skeletons in the closet there.

They must not have sold them, otherwise they'd all be murdered, by your logic.

Link to story. Read a more recent story that one of them is now under protection in Pakistan. Sure worth an investigation.
