So not in NOVA, needed the help of another Member with him, and not a purple part of VA. |
Actually, no, I am in Western Fairfax, right in her district, and a moderator could check the IP address to verify this. My family is in the process of moving, but most likely not before she's up for reelection. I'm actually not particularly liberal, either, but I'd never vote for her. I will, however, continue to press her to do her job, which includes showing up to town hall meetings and answering the questions of ALL of her constituents, not just the ones she "plants". IDGAF how much you gave to her campaign, but in my opinion, you should save your money or donate it to a charity that's actually doing something worthwhile. Maybe you're just butthurt that she didn't call on you to plant a question...don't worry, you'll probably get a chance! |
I wasn't aware that the question "Did Warner or Kaine hold any?" included all of those qualifications. |
Her primary motivation is reelection. Partisans like you don't matter to her. She will always have at least 40% vote against her no matter what. She out preformed Trump by about 16% in her district, don't think she's worried about the #NeverBarbara constituents. |
|
Why do people act surprised when a Republican acts like a Republican?
Shouldn't people in the DMV be smarter than that? |
And you would be wrong. Why do you think she pulled so many HRC moderate dem voters over? Because she has a good reputation in the district for being involved and responsive and was able to hang onto moderate NOVA democrats. And despite significantly outperforming Trump in her district, it nearly flipped this time. The liberal folks she won over could easily turn on her if she keeps pulling this crap. They have already stated to. I leave here and am watching it happen. |
6000 constituents got to ask questions? How long was this magical phone call? just stop it with your nonsense. She is refusing to meet with her own constituents. I have friends who have tried to get a meeting with her in her offices, both DC and district. She works for us-we pay her damn salary. And she needs to hear ALL voices, not just the ones that agree with her. There is zero excuse for her behavior in a swing district like hers. Or a district as politically active as hers. |
To repeat. 6,000 are on the conference call. If you want to ask a question you hit 1 # or something like that (I'm not with the campaign but listened in on a recent one on Obamacare). After you hit 1 # or whatever the instructions were, you are put in the queue to ask her a question. I was too late on the call to get in the queue. I found it far more effective than a Townhall meeting that I would never attend, However, if I am at my desk and get an email saying "conference call right now" I might just do it, which I did. The call probably ran forty-five minutes to hour, at most, but I came on late so am not sure. A number of views were heard on health care. I also heard what issues Comstock is particularly concerned with and she encouraged all to contact her if they had follow-up questions. I sent an email with my question and received a prompt answer. I'm not spewing "nonsense". Your unjustified hatred is what is out of control because you are DNC workers trying to make trouble as you are for all Republicans nationwide. She is NOT refusing to meet her own constituents. They can call her office in D.C. or the other one in the district (Sterling) any time they like. She has many secretaries, case workers, interns, and a chief of staff named Susan Falconer. I'm sure they would all like to hear from you. I've never had a problem getting anyone in her offices to respond to me. That's what a good staff does. Call her office in D.C. or in Sterling tomorrow. I looked up the phone no. for you. 703-404-6903. You're welcome. |
| If Democrat Don Beyer, Alexandria's representative, can hold several Town hall meetings, why can't Comstock? I've been really impressed with Beyer's recent leadership. |
Seriously? Do you not know what is going on or fail to read everything above? It is the DNC that is sending paid protesters and rioters to the Republican Town Halls. Smart Republicans are using tele-townhalls or conference call townhalls like Barbara Comstock is. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/02/republicans-paid-protesters-town-halls-235302. This fact is well known and is being done across the nation. Just google paid protesters disruptions Republican Town Hall. That's what this whole thread is about. Some DNC intern started it to make an accusation, then they move on to the next Republican in the list and find a social media outlet and attack there. It's irresponsible behavior. So the Republicans act accordingly. No one wants to go into a townhall with a bunch of paid liberal protesters screaming outside. |
Can you please send me a link to the DNC page where I can get my check? I keep doing all of this protesting for free. Or maybe just a link to a legitimate news source that demonstrates that people are being paid. Because otherwise your gullibility at believing the paid protester crap reduces any credibility you might have to zero. |
Np. Please define "legitimate". |
From reading this thread, for most people "legitimate" is whatever confirms their bias. Doesn't matter. Unless she gets some gerrymandering help in 2022, she'll eventually be out like Connie Morella. |
Comstock is one of the hardest working Reps out there. She represents all us is IN HER DISTRICT. |
If that were true, she'd have a real town hall. Not only the kind she can control. |
