Sherri Papini: Does anyone think it's a hoax?

Anonymous
It's horrible if it's true and we are all speculating that it's not true. I can't imagine being kidnapped and then no one believes me.

However, if she did lie, that's also awful.

Yet very pro Native American (which well might be another white supremacist thing I don't get).

My crazy racist aunt is also very pro-Native American. It's totally bizarre- she's a manic Trump supporter who hates Hispanics and Muslims but supports the #nodapl protestors. I don't get it.

Being racist is a mental illness and cannot be rationalized. Maybe it's an obsession similar to Hitler and the Jews but in a non-violent way. Hitler hated Jews because he grew up among them in a poor German neighborhood; most whites don't interact with NA's so the fetish them (which is an extremely racist thing to do).

I'm as anti-anti-hoax (birthers, Sandy Hook truthers...) as it gets; but this one is off.

Law enforcement authorities say they have no reason to doubt she was kidnapped and left for dead by the side of the road. What happened may seem odd, but truth can be stranger than fiction.

Hope she recovers and that she and her family can move on from this.

Law enforcement tends to appear supportive of the alleged victim while they investigate her veracity. See, e.g. The Lululemon murder. Or Susan Smith. They need the person to think that their story is believed.

That doesn't mean that this abduction is a hoax. It just means that law enforcement statements like this aren't proof of anything.

Excuse me but my site UmbrellaofSuspicion.com IS NOT a "spoof site". That is a joke on the Facebook page ONLY because the owner is known for being sarcastic and politically incorrect. Check out the website please and don't just make judgment calls by glancing at the Facebook page.

Thanks

It's important for law enforcement to believe the victim until otherwise; doesn't mean that law enforcement, journalists and news outlets aren't looking at this from every angle.

Seemed like perfect timing for her to suddenly been "released" from her captors.

And on Thanksgiving so she can enjoy the holidays...

I am very eager to see what the police learn from all the video cameras they're collecting. That should be interesting. I have a feeling we will see Sherri out and about enjoying her freedom.

I read police are still going through her online history. I hope if I go missing DH erases all my crumbs from this site. Would hate for people to know I post snarky comments here.

This all seems very Gone Girl-ish--attractive 30-something wife who fakes her own disappearance.

Does anyone know how Sherri got on the road where she was found. Did she "jump" out of a car; was she "thrown" out of a car; was she "let out" of a car there. News media isn't clear
