RIP America

We did vote in big numbers. I and many others have all voted for Trump. Demo rats underestimated how many of us are conservative that's all.

So, we're to blame? Not surprised you think that. I guess this shoots down the notion that we'll vote Dem for free stuff.

Hillary is not likeable and did not spur people to action. This country was already in a tense state from Obama. Compounding it with a woman was too much, IMO. Especially, one as unlikeable as her.

Bernie or Biden would've killed it. We pandered to Hillary and lost.

Hillary isn't likable? But the guy who made fun of a disabled person is likable?!

He said it couldn't be a woman. It's just sexism. Let's stop pretending it isn't now.

This is the world our children will inherent. That is the true tragedy.

+1

I got heavy backlash on here for being a latina voting for trump. Liberals have shown to be the true racists in this election trying to make every latino poor, illegal, and lazy.

You NOVA folks are comical. Wake up, breathe smog, and drag your knuckles to your monotonous office job. Carry on, y'all....we will drain the swamp and fix your ruinous regime.

That has always been true but it's not misogyny that beat clinton but her disregard for americans saying this as a latina.

You don't get it. Trump is seen as being more transparent. He says horrible shit for sure. But Hillary is seen as conniving and underhanded. Much worse, IMO. I'd rather know how you feel than have you smile in my face, when you secretly feel disdain towards me.

NP. I don't care how anyone feels, just how they act. I think Hillary has been in politics long enough that she would do as President mostly status quo sorts of things, make the expected moves, basically play the games of domestic politics and international statesmanship as they are expected to be played. Trump, I think, would shake things up. And not in a good way. He will shock people, he will openly offend allies and give ample ammunition to adversaries, and he likely will not play ball with Congress to get anything done unless it goes his way. Nothing good in store for U.S. politics for a while, IMO.

Markets are already crashing in expectation of Trump win. We are fucked.

I predict we will be at war within 4 years.

No. Different poster, but:

Roe v wade and a woman's right to choose -- probably going away
My daughter's ability to marry her fiancee (and that of any other LGBTQ couples) -- probably going away
numerous allied nations -- have been repeatedly insulted by our next head of state; I bet they're none too happy with us right now and I'm under no illusions that such things won't harm our collaboration
adversary countries -- have likely been emboldened by Trump's rhetoric
racist, sexist, and homophobic attitudes -- have been clearly and publicly expressed by our next president
extreme division in our country -- is very evident, although this would have been a problem regardless of who won.

Yep, I'd say "terrifying" is potentially appropriate for this situation.

Pollsters fucked up.

Nope, people lies about who they were voting for. They knew a vote for Trump was shameful and they didn't have the balls to admit that's who they were voting for. American morons. That's who we are.

And likely nuclear war. Trump likes his nukes.

Also, we are at war already ... you know the one started by good ol' George W.

Why would you say that? Trump is a supporter of gay marriage. Plus, it was decided by the Supreme Court. Reversing that is not even on the table.

He has congress. All three branches of government will be republican effective January 2017. There will be no need to fight.
