No, I didn't get that impression at all. To me it seems like that's always been a part of his personality.

PP who said his humor is juvenile -- this is exactly how I see it too. A mismatch from the start and now she wants out. But that doesn't make a compelling enough story.

His character is so pathetic and juvenile, though. The only time I liked him was when he admitted to her that if things had been okay with them, she probably wouldn't have cheated. His character needs more moments like that to be relatable, less charicature/farce. I find SJP's character to be more nuanced and real.

The show inverts from farce/slapstick to realistic, and it misses the mark. It could've been so much better.

I really like THC in this. I find Frances and her friends insufferable and I am one who also tends to overshare about my marriage with my girlfriends. They go way too far for my taste.
