I liked it too, especially the end.

I always liked that actor. But I tuned in for SJP. WOuldn't of cared who played the hubs.

Of course you did. You can't construct grammatically correct sentences, we would expect no less from you.

Oh my god you are everywhere. Give it a rest.

The affair guy is the guy from Flight of the Concords, right?

Yep. She thought she was slick and going to leave her husband for that lover until she figured out the lover didnt want her and got caught up in her mess of lies. Hilarious.

Well, your post has a comma splice, so perhaps you should not be so quick to jump on someone else.

I rather enjoyed it and will be tuning in again next week.

While the party scene was a little unbelievable, I really liked the twist at the end. I don't hate SJP as an actress, and this role seems to suit her.

Yes, which cracks me up, not a sex symbol at all.

Completely agree. The husband and the guy she's having an affair with are both unattractive.

And something is a lttle off but I can't put my hands on it. Perhaps it's the writing ?

Anyway, I plan on watching next week's episode; hopefully it gets better. If not, I'll just watch it on mute just to see SJP outfits.

^^^ this on the outfits. I am on the hunt for a turquoise coat now. Overall I thought it was good. I am during the next episode. I related all the way up to the Julien fella except my Julien (quite literall) is way too hot.

I think it would have been better if the party scene wasn't as crazy. It was too over the top.

But I actually like that the actors/actresses are in the range of normal looking. It makes it feel more authentic, more believable.

I liked it. But yes the party scene was too much.

I will give it another chance - I didn't love it but it has potential. Unfortunately though, she just seems a lot like Carrie still!

I think the SJP affair storyline is totally unrealistic. When a woman has an affair and is done with her husband, she is typically done. I didn't buy that just because she saw her AP wasn't willing to pursue a relationship with her, she was all, "sorry hon! I didn't mean it! let's work on the marriage! and let's sleep together right away!"

It's not I don't believe a wife who has an affair would have regret and later decide to work on her marriage and stay, but I thought they way oversimplified her thought process.

Ha, were you watching with us on Sunday night?

DW and I also thought that there was something "off" with the writing. Shows usually need a couple episodes to hit their strides and for the actors to fully understand their characters. However, THC's acting was just really bad. I understand that he's supposed to be awkward, but his delivery was just too stilted and over-acted. The party scene was ridiculous and unreal, but Molly Shannon really stole the show. The best part of the show is that they captured the resentment that can build in a marriage.

I forgot just how pretty the NYC suburbs are along the Hudson! We have friends in Hastings-on-Hudson and need to go visit

My husband lived that twist--especially when he throws his phone to the ground and turns and walks away from the front door.

She thought she got away with it...
