I was so happy to find Siggis, can't stand all the sickly sweet brands.

I'm partial to liberte full fat.

My son said it was awful while eating it on the way to school. I said don't be ridiculous! I took a bite and had to pull the car over to spit it out and gag. Nasty, nasty stuff.

It's hilarious the gimmicks yuppies fall for. Why siggis sells:

1. New brand (Chobani is sooo 2012 and Fage is sooo 2014)
2. slick hipster packaging
3. ICELANDIC style!!!
4. it tastes gross so it MUST BE EVEN HEALTHIER !!
5. low sugar

Yeah, ok. Except it is low in sugar, it has simple ingredients and I love yogurt. I have neither the time nor inclination to make my own so why not? Btw, I am far from being a "yuppie" gag - who actually says " yuppie" ???

+1. PP, why are you so hung up on bashing Siggi's? So odd. I actually really like the taste of it (even some of the nonfat ones), and really do not like the taste of Chobani. I do like Fage, but only the full fat. And I suppose I do fit within the definition of a "yuppie" (but agree with PP- no one uses this term anymore), but I've never made a grocery store purchase because something is "cool"/trendy.

Isn't most of the sugar in the filling at the bottom? I just avoid eating half of the filling and figure I'm avoiding 1/3 to 1/2 of the sugar.

I've not had a bad Siggi's flavor. I have no idea why this person has a bone to pick with the brand. Maybe he works at Chobani (now THAT tastes like barf).

I like all the Fage flavors, too, but they have almost double the sugar of Siggi's.

Love Brown Cow plain, full fat.

Most stuff has gotten ridiculously sweetened. Blech.

Siggis is the latest fad yogurt.

Chobani .... then fage ... now it's siggis.

The next well-marketed gimmick will replace it soon. Thought it might be Noosa....

Noosa is just to sweet with fanciful additions that don't make it a "real" yogurt lke Fage, Chobani, Siggis. There's some weird Icelandic one I see sometimes that is surprisingly not that popular- Skyr maybe?

Here's what I was referring to by "real" Greek yogurt. Not all brands are straining their yogurt to get the thick yogurt, some are using additives to make it thicker. http://www.nola.com/health/index.ssf/2013/10/is_your_favorite_brand_of_gree.html

I have it on good authority the new yogurt trend is full fat (w/ and w/o creme top). But I'm not quite sure which brand will be the new hotness of this genre.

I do plain yogurt with frozen berries. As the Betty's thaw the juice sweetens and favors the yogurt without adding too much sugar.

I think Siggis tastes like vomit. I started eating Fage for years before it was mainstream bc there was a Greek deli in my office building. Chobani is awful. I used to buy Skyr for my son bc it's really high in protein, but the cost is outrageous now, and it only comes in a couple of flavors.

So I really don't think it's the same people moving from one hot trend to another. Clearly, you love or hate Siggis. I couldn't possibly pretend to like it bc it's a trend. Hell, I couldn't like it if I was given a year's supply for free!

Liberté from Quebec is the best full fat yogurt and cheap, too.

Yogurt is such a marketing scam. Your kid is better off drinking a glass of milk. It's not healthy; it's basically milk for 12x the cost per 6oz with sugar in it.
