I don't care about fat so much and no fake chemical sugars. Can't do plain--kids won't eat it. Either a big container or individuals.
Can you get plain and just add honey it make you town simple syrup with vanilla to add?
Or make your own that is.
Siggi
|
Siggis is very low sugar, but my kids won't eat it without mixing in a little granola or berries to mask the tartness. It also has a nice thick texture.
90% of yogurt in the market is a syrupy runny mess. The ones with rainbow cookie mix-ins boggles the mind. I also give my kids Greek Yogurt for the Gods in the basic Honey flavor. It has a great texture and not the cloying sweetness. It's usaully sold out at the few stores in my area that stock it- but do have luck getting it at Target, Harris Teeter, sometimes Whole Foods. |
We get plain fage and mix in truvia.
Try Yoplait Greek style Yogurt. It's not as tart as other Greek yogurts.
I love Siggy's but not my kids.
Just realized what I wrote. I love my kids of course but they don't love Siggy's ?
Have you tried Brown Cow or Stonyfield whole milk yogurt? I think Brown Cow only sweetens with a little maple syrup.
|
+1 on the Greek God vanilla with honey yogurt
Another yummy one is the Stonyfield French Vanilla with cream later on top. That layer is just for me - so amazingly delicious. Kid eats the rest

Get whole milk plain and mix in honey, maple syrup, or granola/cereal with sweetener or frozen fruit. Reduce the sweetener over time very gradually till kids are eating just a tiny bit or none at all.
Brown Cow yogurt is so delicious - it tastes like pure cream! Siggis is really the only brand lower in sugar (without using a sugar sub) but I dont think they have a vanilla, plus it is pretty tart.
You want low fat the healthiest is the yoplait Greek light and fit
