Hold the phone people!!! This has just become an issue recently and wasn't in the pass. Stop crucifying this parent. It sounds like a combo of things-yes, the child needs consequences, but I agree with meeting with teacher and counselor and I would ask to try a positive behavior management program. Once kids only hear complaints it can start a downward spiral. They need to hear what they do right.
Spring Fever is real. Makes kids harder to manage and as a teacher I can tell you, yes, some teachers lose it and get frustrated too easily. Be supportive of the teacher. Show empathy and try to work as a team to set up something positive. If this becomes a theme next year, then sure get an eval. |
