Why do I always get my period right before a vacation?

Does this happen to anyone else?

No, because I took control of my life. I used the pill, and tampons. (TSS is so unlikely. Did a doctor say you were prone to it?)

Also, why wouldn't you have sex when you have your period? Throw down a towel.

What's your excuse for not using the pill, or at least trying the diva cup?

Why are you so helpless?

Such a sweetheart.

Maybe, but I always have rockin' hot vacations because I take control of my life and don't act helpless.

There are solutions to OP's problems, but she doesn't try them.

The obvious solution: take a two week vacation.

Once you'd had TSS, no, you cannot use tampons. OP already said she'd check on the diva cup, but I'm going to guess no OB will okay that. You know TSS can kill fairly easily, do you not? Maybe OP doesn't like period sex. Maybe she gets cervical pain. Maybe she gets diarrhea. Maybe she doesn't use the Pill because she's over 35 and has a history of clots.

One sure thing: people like you are like a cold sore in a kissing booth.

Man here. Good question.

Well, I'll let you in on a little secret. Many of us get bad diarrhea on day one and 2. The other day I started my cycle and too 7 shits before walking out the door for work. I was late. Couldn't stop shitting. Took a few more at work. The pain deep in my intestines is sharp and takes my breath away. It is truly miserable and we women are tough as nails to have to deal with that monthly.

I'm much better on day 3, but day 1 & 2 are horrible.

Woman here who originally asked the question. This is true. Sometimes I feel up for sex and sometimes I just feel ugh.

I can't get in the mood when I have a break in the shits. Just cant.

We put a towel down and/or do it in the shower. Not the heavy flow day, but any of the other days are fair game. But my DH is not grossed out at all.

Because Aunt Flo loves you and wants to go on vacation too.

Hey folks!
I'm a pp from what 2-3 weeks ago?
Yep. Happened to me again.
Period due on Tuesday. Not then, not Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or even this morning (I checked two or three times).

Nope, it waited until I'm waiting in line at the first ride at the theme park today.

5 days late, and Mother Nature IS out to get us (ha ha k it wasn't that bad. I think the dehydration and constant walking removed any possibility of cramps and heavy flow.)

OP here with an update. So it turns out that I didn't have my period for our vacation in April. I ended up getting it about a week after we got home on day 47. I track my periods on an app, and it is now forecasting my period to arrive the day we leave for our week-long beach vacation this summer. Whoo hoo.
