Any insights as to what was happening with Carrie at the end? She was going to shut off his machine or whatever but then became distracted by a bright light? So is he dead(?).

So, what do you think? Is that it? Will there be another season? It's hard to imagine where the show could go next.

She was going there to take him off life support because she 1)loves him and... 2)it is what he would have wanted.

The bright light was his soul leaving his body - that was my first and only thought really.

She will decide to take Saul up on his offer to run her own organization in Germany, marry Otto and together they will create their own "CIA-like" private organization.

Good bye Alison btw! That was bad-ass....bravo Saul!

But Quinn wasn't on life support. He was in a coma, but breathing unassisted. There was no plug for Carrie to pull to kill him. To kill him she was going to have to smother him. Which is exactly what I think she was about to do when she was distracted by the bright light. Was that Quinn dying naturally at that very moment? Did the light prompt Carrie to smother him as planned? Did it stop her from doing it? We have no way of knowing. We'll just have to wait for Season 6!

Oh, you're right!! I forgot that he was no longer on support. Did you catch how she removed his oxygen monitor from his finger and put it on hers? I think it was to not sound any alarms, so she could do whatever she went there to do.

I cannot picture Carrie smothering him though - although that is likely what she was thinking of doing. Too physical, and she wouldn't be able to go through with it.

When the bright light shone from the window and the camera panned back to Quinn he looked very still- his chest did not appear to be rising.

Don't feel bad.... Quinn is hot!!!!

To me it's so obvious that Rupert Friend should be the next Bond. I don't get why I never hear his name in the running.

I just can't get over his name. All I can think is "My name is Otto and I like gelato."

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's dead. I guess that's for the best, I really don't want a whole season of watching Quinn relearn how to walk/talk etc. Too heartbreaking. His back story was so sad. He seemed to have nobody in the world.

I don't think Quinn is dead. So much back story for him, and if they were going to have him die, he'd do it in this episode and not the start of the next season. I think the next season will flash forward a year or so, and Quinn will be magically rehabilitated, and Carrie will be back at the CIA with Saul, who may be the director again. I think the white light signaled the start of a new time for Carrie. I like Quinn and I think they'll be less likely to kill him off than Brody, there has to be some continuity of co workers for Carrie. And she has to rejoin the CIA at some point or she can't do top secret covert missions. My two cents. Or maybe ten. Ha.

I enjoyed your ten cents! And I'd be totally happy to suspend disbelief if that means Peter Quinn comes back, magically recovered. The scenes with him in that gas chamber were really brutal and gave me nightmares.

I found it pretty moving that Dar was sleeping by his bedside. This is the closest thing he's got to family. Very sad, but a little insight into Dar's humanity. (The fact that he has some.)

I think the Otto "proposal" was odd, because I don't see that as a compelling plot point to keep for future seasons. But if it's not going to happen, then why even have that scene?

Yes. Astrid also seemed to really get him and love him, for who he was. I cried so hard when she and Carrie held hands watching the satin gas video together.

"Carrie, we would make a most efficient pair bond surely you can see this, you have a month to choose, but given the level of your intellect I expect your decision will come in less than a week. I will have ceremony planed by the time you return."

Ah the German ways of love!

Exactly! That was my only issue with the finale. I hope she tells Otto to fuck off and stands on her own.

Its TV! Quinn will be back unless his contract ran out.
