Why wasn't there more outrage about Michael Vick?

And I never understood why the NFL gave him a second chance either.

Too bad all those vulnerable dogs who died at his hand won't get a second chance at life like Vick did.

OMG, you people are total nut jobs. As someone who has always had a dog, all I can say is you people are over the top. You care more for a dog than you do for humans. Vick received more time than convicted rapists, batterers, and murderers. The criminal justice system is a joke on so many levels and this case was a prime example. Jokes aside, the man did his time and followed his conditions of probation and people like PP thinks that he should not be allowed to live and work for his family. You prove the point PP that our criminal justice system is for penalizing for life and is without the rehabilitation

And it's a good thing that he does not need your forgiveness to get anything on earth or in heaven.

I think there was a LOT of outrage. But at the end of the day, it's about money. And if Vick is a good enough football player to make someone money, they are going to rehire him. As we know, people re-accept all kinds of bad behavior when they want to. Plenty of "heroes" - sports world and otherwise - are allowed to come back after appalling behavior and even crimes.

Yeah. Because the life of a man is TOTALLY comparable to the life of a dog. Freak.

He Drowned and broke a defenseless dogs back and neck and shot a defenseless animal. You think he is above all the living beings he did that to? U crazy?

NP. Yes, I do think he is above all the living beings he did that to, and yes u are crazy PP. Depending on how you look at it, wo/man was put dominion over earth. Man may frack the earth and all its inhabitants, but that's a different issue.

Wow you must be as cold hearted, emotionless, and as sociopathic as your favorite nfl player vick!

I'm a Philadelphian and there was plenty outrage when Vick joined the Eagles. He did his time, more time than people do for committing crimes against human beings. I don't like the guy but I wasn't going to turn my back on my football team for giving him a second chance after serving his given time.

I say this as the proud human mom to an adorable Pit rescue. Move on.

This. Move on. In our society criminals pay for their crimes with jail time. Vick did so (remarkably, when you think about it).

Legally criminals pay with jail. But morally that might not be enough.

People feel that Vick hasn't shown the correct amount of remorse. That's what they are looking for from him.

Neither. But I do know nature's pecking order.

And I don't like football, so he couldn't possibly be my favorite NfL player. Try again, since you need ad hominem attacks when all else fails.
