Hating Jon and Kate plus 8

Anonymous
I don't blame Jon and Kate for taking every advantage they can. They have a lot of kids to support, and in this day and age (not living on a farm), a middle class lifestyle is not cheap. And if they can get help with shopping, cleaning, etc., great for them. Without help, how would a mother of eight ever have time to sit on the floor and play with her children and do any other "quality time" activities?

I admire a lot about their parenting, i.e. the way they each make time to have one-on-one outings with each child, the way Kate tries to make things special for kids. I remember a Valentine episode where she decorated the kids' chairs with valentines, made special heart pancakes, etc., saying that she didn't want her kids to miss out on that just because it was so much work to do it for eight.

That said, they're probably ruining their show by getting away from the "everyday life" formula it originally had.
