2015 study on school punishment: black students get criminalized, whites get medicated & therapy

This unequal treatment continues well into college and adult years:

College "pranks" by white boys are considered just pranks, "boys will be boys", "stupid things you do when you're drunk". For black boys, it means jail time or death:

The vicious cycle of centuries of inappropriately and discriminatorily flagged school records, youth police records before teenage years, prison time, unemployment, uninsured, inability to get higher and prohibitively highest interest bank loans, discrimination by real estate agents in American neighborhoods with decent schools, unfair and discriminatory institutional lynching in every industrial sector of American society, inability to amass generational wealth, and roadblocks to voting rights each election cycle. The secret emergence of the videotape is now recording slaughter at the hands of the Police throughout the country...a longstanding practice over the last few centuries once sanctioned by the law of the land or de facto after repeal of those laws. Ghettos are fast becoming the American Indian reservations of yesteryear. Apartheid is alive and well in America.

Blacks are in fights around the same rate as whites (36% vs. 32%). Yes, blacks are fighting more often, but why are they getting arrested at 3x the rate as whites?

Why are they killing each other at much higher rates?

FWIW, I do not know the answer.

drugs/gangs...proportionally more poor blacks than whites are involved in gangs/drugs.

Blacks are disproportionately more likely to be involved in assaults and murders as well.

Percentages shape perceptions, and perceptions lead to actions.

Who is more likely to resist and fight back after being arrested? That is the real question, that leads to problems and possible injuries or death.

It's not black and white...

I guess resistance and fighting back may relate to the actual conduct/action of the arrest and arresting officers. Arrest by head blow, taser or bullet may lead to involuntary movements!
