The thing that stood out to me was a bunch of kids not staying put and listening to the officer. Police have a tough job on their hands. This incident I am not sure , they were totally at fault. Jmho

(And, yes, that policeman has been rightly suspended for his overreaction, but the root of the problem was the teenagers' bahavior, not his)

I agree, yelling and arguing with police like that. I would punish my kids for that behavior.

No they aren't. We have some really nice pools and great water parks in the county I live in. I think they are pretty nice and clean. Perhaps those kids just wanted to crash a party. Of course they shouldn't have but they are kids, and kids do stupid stuff. No way that cop would have attacked that girl had she been a blonde haired white girl.

I don't know how accurate this is but supposedly there is video before her went all supe ninja where some kids came behind him and tried to pull things off his belt. According to what I read online, they got away with his flashlight, but no weapons. That might have something to do with his overreaction.

I wonder if it has gotten to the point where black cops should always take the lead in responding to crimes involving blacks. Like female officers are the only ones allowed to search female suspects & often required to transport one. At least then race could be taken out of the equation since that is always the first thing anyone looks at.


Maybe black citizens that have had special training can volunteer to ride along with white cops, since there probably aren't enough black cops to response to all the calls.

The cop would do that to any person that was resisting. In fact they did that to the buy in baltimore and the cops were black.
