What a shameful lying crook. A lobbyist had once introduced me to him.

So why aren't any of his fellow Democrats ndemanding that he step down?

They need the vote. What's a little corruption among friends.

Murphy doesn't take office until January 16.

He can resign with an effective date of January 16. It takes 66 senators to expel one, there's no way Democrats would go along if Republicans tried to force him to leave earlier.

Seriously, given the level of criminality in the WH and Senate right now. I mean, we have a POTUS flagrantly violating the Emoluments clause.

sounds like a laxative product

A phrase I've been hearing a lot around Washington lately is "if these charges are proven."

Can't remember where I heard it...

The allegations, IF TRUE...

Jury is deadlocked. They’re going to have to try him again.

The jury is a mess. One juror was dismissed because she had a planned vacation (judge knew about this in advance and let her leave). She spoke with the press, said she would have voted not guilty. Then, the judge asked the jury today if they had read or heard any news about this case. Several had.
WTH?

For what? Bribery? Or flying down to the Dominican Republic for sex with underage prostitutes? Or both?

Astonishing that he hasn't yet resigned.

Not astonishing at all. He's innocent until proven guilty.

Your posts about Moore seem to suggest otherwise, unless there is a different standard when comparing someone with ACTUAL charges (Menendez) vs allegations (Moore)

You guessed it: an election is not a criminal proceeding. Roy Moore does not have a right under the Sixth Amendment to a U.S. Senate seat. Congratulations?
