Political Discussion
If you care more about attacking someone for being hawkish on Israel, than you do about the very real possibility that Obamacare could still be repealed. |
Funny how they mostly neglect to mention he's a DEMOCRAT criminal. |
I am generally dissatisfied with the senators from both parties. They can't get anything done. |
Please name one actual news organization that refers to any U.S. Senator without mentioning to which political party he ascribes in the first two sentences. |
The NY Times. And, it wasn’t in the first two sentences, nor in the piece at all. http://thehill.com/homenews/media/349198-ny-times-mocked-for-not-mentioning-embattled-senator-is-a-democrat |
| PP asked for an actual news organization. NY Times hasn't qualified in years. |
| Amazing the lack of reporting on this. The first sitting senator in a hundred years on trial for bribery and it's somehow not news? |
It sure is. His legal team is pulling the race card....... Defense lawyer says Democratic senator on trial for bribery is victim of anti-Hispanic witch hunt and claims free plane trips and hotel rooms are just Dominican 'hospitality' Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4863748/Lawyer-Menendez-victim-anti-Hispanic-witch-hunt.html#ixzz4s7ieIBLT Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook |
Excellent link. Thank you! |
The Daily Fail will be surprised to hear that it is "excellent." |
Astonishing that he hasn't yet resigned. |
| Mossad will need a new asset to replace him |
Not astonishing at all. He's innocent until proven guilty. As a practical matter, were he to resign his replacement would be picked by the governor of NJ. Right now that is Chris Christie, but there will be an election in November and a new governor sworn in next January. I've often heard it said that when an appointed position comes vacant in the last year before an election the position should be kept vacant until after the election, to allow the voters to speak as to how the position should be filled. I believe this is called the "Merrick Garland Principle." |
If this were a lifetime judicial appointment I would agree with you. But it is not -- and whoever is appointed by Christie will need to run for re-election on his/her own merit and performance. |

Two people testified against Menendez today:
A Menendez Senate staffer who helped secure visas for 2 Dominican women in 2008 at the request of Melgen and an American Express VP who testified Melgen used 650k Amex points towards a Paris hotel room for the Senator's use in 2010. |
