| Yes, let's stop insulting muslims and pretending that they are not objecting to ISIS. They are putting more lives at risk to defeat them than we are. |
Yes, I named three specific individuals who have contributed to making anti-Islam bigotry acceptable among some liberals. That says nothing about other atheists -- many of whom are vociferous critics of those three individuals (and, I should add, have much bigger platforms for their criticism than I do). As I said in another thread, atheists claim to be advocates of logic and rational thought. But, your suggestion that my post "will soon be used by Islamists to justify coming atrocities" is completely insane. Do you think these guys have been keeping their attacks on Islam secret and I have just revealed them? Use some sense. Or, better yet, join the atheists who have denounced Maher, Harris, and Dawkins for their treatment of Islam. |
Ha. Ha ha. Ha ha ha ha ha. |
Wow, the previous poster's statement is not the least bit disputable. If you think it is laughable, you are woefully misinformed. |
| They turned and ran. Obama's army that we left manned up. Maybe now they are paying attention..its hardly been a robust or unified response. |
The Syrian forces, Kurdish peshmerga, Iranian forces, and Hizbollah have all had some success. Not all of the Iraqi forces ran away. |
| I agree irs looking to be their fight. The idea the response has been robust is laughable. Isis worst move is probably involving Egypt. Now we may see more of a response. |
| What I want to know is, where are the public statements, the talking heads of the so-called moderate Muslim world, the leaders of the Muslim groups here in the US? Where are they in condemning this, even as public relations statement? |
What i want to know is why does this question come up in every single thread on this sort of topic? Muslims have made any number of public statements. The top Egyptian cleric actually called for the crucifixion of IS members. King Abdullah II promised "endless war". Even the leader of Hizbollah criticized the group. Go here and look at these condemnations: http://theamericanmuslim.org/tam.php/features/articles/american-muslim-organizations-condemn-isis-murder-of-journalist-james-foley/0020275 I am sorry that the news sources you follow don't think these condemnations are worth informing you about. Maybe you should look into other news sources? |
| FWIW, the action of Egypt speaks much louder than words. |
Yes the top Egyptian cleric. Glad to hear it. I want to hear from just one Muslim leader in this country. |
| Egypt should roll over Libya. |
I guess they are too busy manufacturing a crisis in North Carolina. |
As I said, re-evaluate your news sources. Here is one: http://www.themuslimtimes.org/2015/02/universal-brotherhood/the-muslim-times-strongly-condemns-killing-of-innocent-coptic-christians-by-isis |
