Moms in Bikinis

I wish I could. I have a flat stomach but it looks like crap, so I don't. So I wear a tankini, and fee lucky that my stomach is flat even though it looks like a meat grinder had its way with it.

I am a runner and could easily pull off a bikini. I don't wear one because I feel like at almost 50 years old, I've past the bikini point.

Again, if you are confident in your bikini, more power to you. Just not for me.

Really- go out West. Ladies your age are all rocking them. I used to be a bit of a prude--but at 45 and years of competitive sports, working out hard, sunscreen and olive skin--my body easily looks so much better now than it did in my early 30s.

Maybe this will be the summer for me then! I have a rock hard body from years of martial arts and marathons. But I just feel silly wearing a bikini at 50. I have a grand-baby! Totally my hang up. My DH would love it if I wore one!

My DH only wants me to wear one. Think Helen Mirren, Selma Hayek, Elle, ---hell J-lo, ...all mid-40s and higher---rocking the bikinis.

you jealous and fat?

So you have a tattoo, huh?

No, I am not fat or jealous. I don't clutch pearls and I actually don't even care. But there is a minute when I see you and your butterfly tattoo and I laugh a bit in my head. Butterfly tramp stamps are so '90's and they don't really age well. I don't hold onto that judgement and I certainly don't feel anger. I think it's funny. It's harsh because I shouldn't laugh - it has nothing to do with me.
you fat like ugly cow

To the sad woman who mocks the person who chooses to wear a bikini. I pity you. Clearly you need a hobby. People should wear what they want, fat or skinny. Be you people.

Not at all--duh. But I'm not dumb enough to dress and wear my hair for 'other' women. I dress in what makes me look good and turns my husband on.

If your spouse hates short, short hair (and he's the one that f@cks you (pardon my French)--why would you get a pixie cut. He also looks good for me and won't wear something I find compketely distasteful--like a nut-hugger or Dockers.

Do you kiss your grandbaby with that mouth?

Moms in bikinis are trashy.

-Signed the fat, miserable, jealous, and depressed mom in a one-piece.

If you think it's comfortable, then that's fine, but personally I wouldn't wear a bikini because I'd be worried about things shifting around while running around after my kids. That said, maybe if I were very small on top, this wouldn't be as much of a worry for me. A tankini or one piece is more practical for my body.

I have a tiny waist--flat, muscular stomach and a Bikini is much more flattering on me.

When I had to heavy little kid duty at the beach I wore the sturdier variety. Now that kids are older I can do string ties again.

Your poor embarrassed children.

'Grandbaby'???? No. I didn't give birth at 15-years old. These are the people that use that term.

'Grandchildren'. No- I don't have any yet.

I don't get it. I'm 5'3 with D cups, so now I'm not allowed to wear a bikini because as a mom it's inappropriate? According to what standard?

Honestly, more moms should be wearing bikinis in my opinion. They are much more flattering than the awful one pieces out there. One pieces often ride, bunch and pull so that the wearers worst features are highlighted without drawing any attention to the awesome ones. Honestly, you don't need a perfect body to wear a bikini, you just need a "perfect" bikini that showcases your assets. Try J Crew for a wide variety of styles or Victoria Secret for more support.
